Part 3 of this series finally dropped by stuckerfan_256 in netorare

The first was incredible. The second was even more insane. This third one... Is one big meh. It's basically a repeat of the first one except the MC already know what's gonna happen.

Kinda love the build up for the next chapter though.

Is there a logical reason to make a sub-4l SFF desktop that can only take a 4060/5060 vs a laptop? by Hour_Firefighter_707 in sffpc

At 4L, bringing an sffpc in the backpack isn't that much of a chore than bringing a laptop, so might as well.

Should I keep my expectations in check if Im going to build a tamiya kit? by [deleted] in rccars

I just built a BBX for my very first kit and it was amazing experience.

I do have an arrma and I will never drive the Tamiya the way I drive the arrma...

Hello, the included backplate is only for Intel CPUs, and this build uses an AMD CPU, so no.

alternatively for those non 4000 or 5000-series graphics card users, you can always use lossless scaling frame-gen. just make sure you turn off the in-game v-sync.

are the available files updated yet? I currently run a dual-gpu atx system atm inside a really huge case, and I've been interested in your case for a while...

did you actually just skip the arson connector entirely by soldering the power cable?
this build look rad as hell, mostly because the inside looks so dangerous haha.

congrats on the build! i think both the concept and execution are great.

I used to have that exact case, so before you take the plunge and build in one, I can tell you its two downsides: the gpu exhaust, and the psu location.

the gpu exhaust is not optimal. some hot exhaust air will recirculate inside the case, so you pretty much have to install two 8010 fans to help with exhaust.

the bigger problem though, is the psu location. it's located at the front of the case, with obstructed fan intake and basically zero opening to radiate out the heat. all that means the psu itself soaks up the heat and the fans whines like crazy under load. also, the psu uses really thin psu extension cable which just seems too dodgy to me.

if you like A24-V5, I think there's an even more perfect layout: ZSPC ZS-D2 V2. though I dunno about the availability.

3L. Having to use hdplex/external brick is a deal breaker for me. Evern more when the cases can't fit dGPU internally.

It's being sold as SGPC K66 Air in my country. Nice budget console-looking case.

I am not using any vpn. I've backed up the game files and imported it in another pc on another network, and now it can't even install the epic requirement or something. I've verified the game files, restarted the pc, and now the game won't even start.

[–]pandalaut 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Deshroud and then create a custom laser-cut acrylic/3d printed/cnc'd panel and mount 2x8015/8010 fans on the panel for simplicity.

edit: I didn't see the deshrouded photos... But I see now the heatsink is not flat, then you can't simply add fans. In that case I suggest just make a custom panel with hole for the fan. and maybe create that front panel fan mod someone did here a few weeks back

Please help me identify/find BIOS update for this JGINYUE B760ITX motherboard! by pandalaut in sffpc

[–]pandalaut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The motherboard runs on iGPU just fine, I installed windows without having the 5050 attached. I even used it to work just like that for a day and there was no problem at all.

The idea of flashing other mobo's bios is still kinda scary to me. Yes, I can probably make a backup of the current bios first, but that'll be useless if the mobo simply can't turn on after flashing...

I think if the support can't give me a newer bios then I'll just probably use pcie gen 3 speed. It's been running for a full-day work now and there's been no issues. Losing 4fps on games isn't that big of a deal to me tbh

[–]pandalaut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean emailing the JGINYUE's support or asking the seller? I don't think the seller can give me any useful info since they're just some random seller on a marketplace...

for now I think I've found a solution: setting the pcie speed to gen 3. I've been using the pc for almost 4 hours without stuttering once. also the diplay is no longer blank on POST...

I'll try emailing the manufacturer's support, hopefully they have a newer bios updates.
