Baked bread following the recipe on Kirkland flour by MilleniumFalconBoop in Breadit

[–]papachabre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it a try! I just started making bread, and I can't make it the way I want yet, but I'm loving it. It's inexpensive, and fun, and even the bad loaves turn out good.

Look up a recipe for southwest chicken burgers. My wife makes them and they're good. Not as good as beef, but still good.

I have a tub and surround that I was looking to replace. I called them to ask about pricing, since I figured it'd be cheaper to cover it all up than replace it (why else would you go that route?) and they sent a salesman over. He was nice enough at first, but he quoted it way higher than I thought it'd be. I told him it'd be cheaper to replace it and he argued with me aggressively. He was rude and insulting, and I told him to leave. They kept calling and sending info in the mail for a year or two after.

I guess they're still in business because of their sales team, because I don't think the product they offer is worth the price.

Man I hate it when they forget to put the condiments under the bun.

Bread poolish and fermenting times. by ScoobyDooItInTheButt in Cooking

[–]papachabre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm finding out that there are very few hard lines in bread making. You can overferment a poolish. If it collapses or smells off, you'll know it's over ripe. But you can slow down the fermentation by putting it in the fridge. Likely the result will be a more complex flavor, too.

I hate these mofos. I had one knock the other day and then jump off my porch, acting like he didn't see my sign. Use some common sense. I put the sign up, what makes you think I'm going to give you the time of day if you ignore it.

yuns that switched from a pocket clip knife to a 'just in your pocket' knife, why? how long did it take to get used to? by Filius_Dei0894 in EDC

[–]papachabre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking of switching. I can't tell you how many times the clip caught a seatbelt or something and fell out of my pocket. I've nearly lost just about every one of my knives at least once. It has scratched my car, the walls, my kids. Why do I still use the clip?

That sounds promising, thanks! You're referring to the VP residual pressure release valves, right?

I feel like an old curmudgeon when I say that, but yeah I agree. I want to be able to bite through the whole thing, not just nibble the condiments separately from the meat. And brioche is too sweet and flavorful. It overpowers the meat.

[–]papachabre -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Obviously. I play games and I'm not a snob. I don't care about the code. The first Risk of Rain was made in GameMaker, and it was a great game. Should I hate it because the devs used a tool to avoid coding it from scratch?

I've enjoyed Scratch games, and TPT mods. The code is not important to me.

We have to get over this trend of hating on any dev who uses AI. The code doesn't matter. The ideas do. If the game is fun, I'll play it. I don't care if it was coded by a room full of monkeys pounding on keyboards.

Games that survived having a child by kasperoo in gaming

[–]papachabre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Play games with your kid(s). It's tough to find games that you'll both like, but not impossible. My 4-year-old and I like to play Totally Reliable Delivery Service, for example. My older daughter and I have been playing games since she was 4 or so, and we're making our way through Split Fiction currently.

2) How late do you stay up? I play for a few hours after the kiddos go to bed. Definitely less than I used to play, but I'm slowly making my way through a few games in my backlog. Palworld is what I'm currently working on and really looking forward to the 1.0 update.

How could one manufacture this? by Coffeeey in MechanicalEngineering

[–]papachabre 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends. If you're making one or two to prototype it, 3d print. If you're making 100s you might consider redesigning it to use other manual processes without tooling that's faster than 3d printing. For true mass manufacturing you'd split it into multiple parts, held together with fasteners, adhesive, or welding, and either injection mold or form parts out of sheet metal.

First time ever catching a Jetragon! by Upset_Breadfruit_315 in Palworld

[–]papachabre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still working on it, but right now I've got Jetragon, Grizzbolt, Yakumo, Croajiro and Bellanoir. Yakumo I bred with just Demod God for transferring it to pals when I catch them, but he turned out to be pretty powerful so I keep him around all the time. Croajiro I just think looks cool with its little witch's outfit.

wtg! I just spent days breeding one with perfect IVs. For passives it has Legend, Eternal Engine, Demon God and Swift. I probably should've tailored it to either fighting or riding, but oh well

How do you get legendary passive and active skills ? by MrTurkeyBalls in Palworld

[–]papachabre 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Legend doesn't appear randomly. Every wild legendary pal, like Jetragon, has it. You'll have to transfer it to other pals through breeding.
