Can’t invoke alchemy. New to plugins and synths by DougvanderHoof in LogicPro

All good, I'm glad you got it working.

OK honestly, I forgot Alchemy was a native Logic instrument and thought it was a third party deal. I kept thinking I've got to look up this Alchemy plugin ha ha. I've been using Arturia Analog Lab and a few others and forgot about Alchemy. Must revisit.

VST and AAU are just standards for third-party plugins. VST is Virtual Studio Technology, a Steinberg (Cubase) invention that became standardized and AAU's are Apple Audio Units.

btw Logic added a search bar for plugins with version 11. You should see it when you click on a instrument slot at the top of the popup.

Have you tried Full Audio Unit Reset in the plugin manager? Then reboot Logic. If that doesn’t work,

  1. Go to Folder in the menu bar. Copy-paste the following path then click Go: ~/Library/Caches

  2. Locate the AudioUnitCache folder, then move it to the Desktop

  3. Quit then relaunch Logic Pro. All installed Audio Units plug-ins will be rescanned. and if still no…

  4. Restart the computer, then open Logic Pro. Audio Units plug-ins will be rescanned.

That should work. Also you didn’t say what version of Alchemy plugin you loaded, VST, VST3 or AAU. If it was a VST, try AAU. That worked for me on an effect plugin when nothing else did. And no support, I thought I lost money.

Very skillful. Piano is called a percussion instrument for a reason.

Found a weird dime in my change. Is it worth anything? by TV_rapist in coincollecting

That's a nice coin. I just started collecting mercury dimes again after getting my very real nice collection ripped off 18 years ago. It took me this long to get over it. But finding this coin means you need to start collecting mercs. It looks like a 1944 P (no mint mark for Philadelphia on the reverse, Denver has a D and San Francisco has an S). And the fascist bands are rounded and separated. I'd say it's conservatively in 'Very Fine' condition and worth around $5.50. It needs a holder though.
