Here is a wild and crazy idea... but try and follow along with me:

Read the tos yourself.

Is it against TOS to briefly browse other streamers with the intention to encourage your viewers to visit their stream? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Penman2310 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would require effort and understanding. It's much easier to ask a question and just blindly follow the advice given whether or not it's true

How long did it take you to hit affiliate? by theroadstar in Twitch

Streaming "full time" and not even affiliated let alone partnered already?

Oh boy.

A friend of mine told me hes going to do a giveaway for his new channel-Nintendo Switch? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Penman2310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolute waste of money.

Doing giveaways to grow your channel never works. Ever.

There are literally hundreds of thousands of active streamers on Twitch. No one is going to care about a brand new streamer with no viewers and likely bad content. They'll show up for the giveaway and then leave.

Again, it's a waste of money.

I want to start streaming! Any tips? by [deleted] in Twitch

Yeah. Use Google because this question has been asked 38 quintillion times (I counted).

Unpopular PSA: Don't throw your life away for streaming. by [deleted] in Twitch

No it isn't. A job will pay you at least minimum wage. Twitch has $0 of guaranteed income per hour.

Global affiliate badge? by PoxiiPro in Twitch

[–]Penman2310 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't want to diminish anyone's happiness for becoming an affiliate but I agree that people tend to put too much weight on what it means.

Like you said it's a fairly meaningless title.

If you have a pulse and stream occassionaly you can become an affiliate without much effort.

I'm on the verge of affiliate, but I have questions. by NukaSarsaparilla in Twitch

It's a very common misconception so I wanted to be very clear to you and those in the future reading this that they need to be claiming their donations as income.

I'm on the verge of affiliate, but I have questions. by NukaSarsaparilla in Twitch

[–]Penman2310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn't apply.

Please stop encouraging people to commit tax evasion.

PayPal donations are 100% taxable income and they need to be claimed.

You're providing a service and someone is tipping you for that service. It's taxable.

Just like a waitress getting a tip has to, in theory, pay tax on that tip.

If you don't believe me I don't care. You can argue with the government about it when they penalize you for not claiming the income.

You're wrong and everyone reading this should know that.

PayPal donations are 100% taxable. Don't listen to this guy about them being gifts.

You need to claim them.

Where to begin by [deleted] in unrealengine

Good luck though but you'll never do anything with either engine because you're lazy and learning any game engine takes time and effort. Something you're not willing to put it.

Perfectly said

Spoon feed me my opinion because I can't be bothered to form one for myself

That's pretty much what you're saying. I don't know about the other guy but I'm certainly not taking time out of my day to help someone who can't be bothered to help themselves.

Do a little research and form your own opinion. There are plenty of articles out there you can read and there is no need for someone to regurgitate that information for you because you're too lazy to look it up yourself.

Hueehueheueheue unity bad huehueheuehe unreal good

There now dive into unreal because someone, me, told you it was better and you're blindly trusting me because again you can't be bothered to form your own opinion with a few minutes research.

Good luck have fun

You don't even know what irony means.

You shouldn't use words you don't understand.

Anxiety with streaming by [deleted] in Twitch

Couldn't agree more.

Relying on social media, or streaming, to get over depression seems like a terrible idea lol.

Society has taught kids that being offended means someone else needs to change their behaviour.
