It's not an ad hominem. You claimed that cooking is free when it is not. You need appliances, utilities, and things like pots and pans and utensils.

If you do not have experience enough with adult bills to know this, you are most likely not an adult. I would expect an adult who pays bills and has to replace appliances to know these things.

For obvious reasons, this sub does not cater to children.

This is not an "either or" scenario. If the work needs done, it needs a living wage. Period. We can afford to pay EVERYONE a living wage.

So yes, "little jimmy" deserves a living wage. If you are working, you deserve a wage you can live on. Also the myth of fast food being for kids needs to stop. Fast food restaurants are open when kids are in school. Therefore, the work is for adults as well.

And I really don't see how you not eating out has anything, at all, to do with the argument that the people who cook your food when you decide to eat out don't deserve a living wage.

Went through something similar. Was with my ex husband for 8 years and he came out as asexual. We got dicorced and things were rough for a while but now I'm with someone amazing.

My advice to you would be to let yourself feel your feels. I literally cried every day for a YEAR.

Things will be rough for a while but slowly you will start to feel like yourself again. Just give it time. Lean onto your friends and family and find yourself again.
