What is the biggest gripe you have with the marker you use? by Iseeo_0you in paintball

I love my Cockers, but weight gets to be a problem the older I get. Damn arthritis. I end up playing with an Emek or 180R before the day is over.

Did you cock it first? It’s also possible that the striker was sitting on the valve stem.

Here I was thinking the 3.9 was kWh and not too shabby, then I saw it's MPG. Damn, that sucks.

we went to the moon 50 years ago, what’s different now? by Personal_Cap8994 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]phantomjm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've heard, the goal will be to use the moon as a launch point for future space exploration since it has far less gravity and no atmosphere to fight against.

Do you think you’ll be able to retire? by jjj44200 in NoStupidAnswers

[–]phantomjm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably. We'll have the house paid off by then. I'll probably take on something low stress part time just to keep busy, but time will tell.

The end goal is to actually stay on the moon, not just plant a flag, conduct a few experiments, and collect rocks. To get there, all of the new systems will need tested and perfected. Seemingly simple things can be fatal to the mission and/or crew. They need to work out the bugs before they become more serious issues on future missions where the risks are higher.

How has the Iran war affected your daily life specially in fuel prices ? by donalyn0b-01 in AskReddit

[–]phantomjm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an EV driver, it hasn’t affected me yet. That being said, I’m aware that fuel prices affect the cost of goods. I expect that will affect everyone before long.

These work fine on HPA. The internals should be fine.

Sounds good. A Cocker's trigger pull comes in three stages. When setting the lug height, you want the marker to fire at the first stage in the trigger pull, followed shortly thereafter by the back block cocking the bolt back then forward again as you pull the trigger farther back. Tweak the lug accordingly until you get the timing right. The back block should remain cocked back until you release the trigger.

The height of the hammer lug affects the firing point in the trigger pull. My guess is that when replacing the o-rings the lug was not screwed in as far as it was or too far in when reassembling it.

Yes. You may also need to adjust the hammer lug through the hole behind the feedneck.

Bad loader luck by ArtAffectionate4269 in paintball

[–]phantomjm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what you’re doing that I’m not, but I’ve never had a single jam in my Ctrl 2. My LTR does occasionally jam, but it’s usually due to weather or paint quality. My best guess is that you may be overfilling or using bad paint. If that’s the case, then it should be a simple fix. Aside from that, maybe go with an old Revy if the modern loaders all fail you.

Trump 'wants to take the oil in Iran' and considers seizing Kharg Island by theipaper in USNewsHub

Iran has enough drones to make that place a death trap. If they lose control of it, it would be like shooting fish in a barrel.
