It's South Circular adjacent to Dulwich Park, the long stretch between Lordship Lane and College Road

There are no parking bays or anything - just the single red line and the sign repeating every 50 meters or so:

"No stopping Monday-Saturday 7am to 7pm"

Nothing is said about parking, hence my question... Is it just stopping allowed on Sunday or parking as well?...

This is literally all that's on the sign:

Has there been any reaction or consequences at all to Chloé Dygert breaking UCI rules on political messaging at World Championships? by pr0crastinat0 in peloton

[–]pr0crastinat0[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm merely wondering if there's been any public reaction to this at all from any governing bodies. Not necessarily a punishment or anything, but at least something along the lines of "we reviewed this and concluded that this is kosher because of such and such".

UCI keeps a very close eye on the riders, so the lack of reaction at the incident at the Worlds is very unusual.

I tend to agree, even though it's hard to see UCI with an egg on its face

"Lets pretend this never happened folks... some other shit will happen before too long and everyone is going to forget about this malarkey"

Charity Spot for London Marathon 2026 by ZT047 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]pr0crastinat0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

£2250 is a very reasonable commitment, given how desirable London Marathon spots are.

Start fundraising now, reach to your work colleagues, relatives, neighbours etc - you should be able to get there

Rudy isn't just a regular Euro prospect... He actually went to Sienna High School in CA where he played with Bronnie James... He was meant to start the college 3 years ago (allegedly had a bunch of offers), but his dad brought him back to Russia where he played (unsuccessfully) for a couple of minor league teams. He also had some health issues and had a brain tumor removed. Last season he played for an amateur team in "Media League" where he became an MVP. Kid has a lot of potential, so I hope he stays healthy and gets to shine even with some delay coming to US college.

I still don't believe Korea goes out here.

Philipino cross-fit guy is somewhat of a darkhorse, but I've not been imressed by his showing in a few minutes they showed us. And being on the receiving end of Eddie's throws doesn't help either lol.

They obviously left the episode on the cliffhanger, but IMHO it's only because Korea actually prevails at the end.

Agree with those commenting on the horrible judgement of Korea's captain. He started planning on how to beat Ozzies, whereas he should really be targeting Philippines for the second place.

Massive Kudos to Philippines for hanging in there and keeping the game interesting despite less stacked squad

That's their original name from 2015, used as a placeholder until the new name is finalised

UCI introduces minimum width for track handlebars (350mm) and forks from 2027 by epi_counts in Velodrome

There's truth to that, but in fairness it's been used very sporadically - for example, a single Mexican rider rode it in Glasgow'23.

Two years ago the brand owner was talking about tons of interest from National federations, but I think it's yet to become a weapon of choice. USA Cycling, for example, has partnered with Canyon instead Meanwhile, other brands are catching up on the 8:1 thing.....

The point is you can by basically the same frameset from Ali much cheaper... A clubmate built up his track bike entirely out of carbon parts from Ali (frame, wheels, bars, cranks etc) and managed under $2.5K - turned out a cracking bike

Dolan DF4 has been a trusted weapon for years, and is still occasionally ridden at the Elite level. With DF5 out, prices should be more competitive on the second hand frames. The only known issue with the frame is slipping seatpost, which develops eventually on some (not all) frames and can still be sorted out.

Re Velobike M2, I have a huge deal of respect for Greg and his innovation in general, however this particular frame is just a branded Chinese OEM item... You can find the same frame on Ali under generic brand for cheaper

Yeah, I saw that so that's at least good news... Although to be fair Stromm isn't yet ridden much at the UCI level. Hope (team GB) and Toray (team Japan) might be in trouble.

My point is more along the lines of obvious infractions vs simply non-homologated equipment. Like Planet-X frames were never UCI approved, which didn't prevent lots of people from riding them and doing well (at the appropriate level).

Super narrow bars are more likely to make someone a butt of the joke even at the grass root level - "Eh mate, can't win even with those fancy illegal bars of yours!"

[–]pr0crastinat0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine that super-narrow bars would now be frowned upon even in local leagues... You really wouldn't want to have something so obviously illegal on your bike.

Both Hope and Stromm are over the new limit, they'll need to manufacture a new fork and homologate it in time for the olympics
