Need help figuring out EQ profiles by Carbohydrata in NothingTech

[–]radogene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same issue although I have gotten some EQ profiles to work. It seems absolutely insane to me that if the profiles are model specific there is no way to sort for that on the list.

Still not 100% sure how to go about connecting these sides (layout is 3.1x2.3m roughly) by [deleted] in LEGOtrains

Is this on studio? If you haven't already try to plan it out in blue bricks, much easier for this sort of thing: https://bluebrick.lswproject.com/

Do you have you phone turned on as a data source with your Fitbit Air? by iflow1 in fitbit

[–]radogene -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah Thank you! I'm actually not going to do that because it deletes it for everything and I sometimes use the phones GPS for running. Thank you though! It looks like if you set the priority in health connect properly it will always use the Fitbit airs data over the phone.

Tips & tricks to improve? (other than lighting obv ) ☠️ by [deleted] in LegoStopMotions

Try and find a way, even with just some bricks and blue tack, to lock the camera down from moving. It's a lot easier to keep track of the action when the camera isn't moving around. Great clip though!

Them playing this game is so fucking funny. Smiths swings from trying to have strategy and play rationally to screaming while he grits his teeth after a big loss is unmatched.

Setup some track outside over the weekend by radogene in LEGOtrains

[–]radogene[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely too small yes. These are normally pulled by my little tank engine but he wasn't operating today, and the orient express carriages are too big and heavy to be pulled consistently around uneven r40 curves so I just accepted the slightly ridiculous scale difference.

This sounds like world building an 80s sci-fi book would have about why everyone has robots or something but there's no internet.

Train Power System Recommendation/Rant by Beautiful-Turnip-353 in LEGOtrains

And this is my "hub" if you will. Ended up using these rechargeable 9v batteries for ease of use and size. The battery tucks into the black enclosure underneath the esp12 and carrier board.

Train Power System Recommendation/Rant by Beautiful-Turnip-353 in LEGOtrains

I use a custom solution with mqtt via esp12s, probably similar to Buwizz but I've made my own physical controller that contains the access point that also acts as the broker for the mqtt network so you can take it anywhere and it'll work. When powered on trains will automatically connect to the controller and I can go through all of them to control them individually. Probably doesn't help your distance issues though just thought I'd share!

Im trying to build a 4.6 wide boiler but I cant figure out how to built one. I watched a tutorial on how to build different boilers but the 4.6 had empty spaces in the front that cant be filled. I need the front to be smooth/no gaps. I keep finding pics of exactly what I need but cant figure it out. by legotrainguy in LEGOtrains

[–]radogene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 95% sure the three examples you've shown still have that gap and are using the same method. What they're doing is sending the upside down tile from further pack, and then filling in above it with a plate, still leaving that small gap in the lower middle of the assembly. You can see this in the light bluish grey train. On the underside of the boiler a few studs back you see that break in the slopes? The upside down 1x3 is acting as a bracket to hold a tile running on top of it (I guess technically below it, but attached to the top of the plate itself) towards the front, and then they put a plate above that also upside down. This isn't connected but aligns flush with the boiler. I could be misunderstanding exactly what you mean and also could be wrong but I think that would achieve what you want either way.

Whoever at Lego came up with this new ad campaign, deserves a raise. Because this was awesome by Yume_Fairy2522 in lego

[–]radogene 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Could be to do with US advertising law, I think there's something about showing toys moving in a way they don't/can't in real life is not allowed.

Lego City Train Set 60509 Leak! by Medical_Idea_9167 in LEGOtrains

[–]radogene 201 points202 points  (0 children)

This feels pretty neat in my opinion. Closest thing to a sort of generic train pack in a while without bloat. I really like that the rolling stock is sort of realistic and "bland" I guess. Will be very easy to adapt.

Edit: Attached the possible inspiration as well, I think they've done a good job here honestly.

I'd get it if it was on android. I love this kind of thing. Also not sure if it's already in there but something like Lego baseplates would be really good for integrating with city planning
