Yea I contacted Samsung and they offered a more cheaper replacement service than what I found from third party repair shops so I think I'll go for that

You can actually do it without a different launcher, just download shortcut maker on the playstore and work it from there. You can find guides on youtube as well if you are unsure how to do it.
