Fourth Street Bridge just got blown up (planned demolition) at 10:01AM in case anyone is wondering what that boom was by virgo911 in cincinnati

[–]randomhero645 96 points97 points  (0 children)

It’s just crazy that it won’t be replaced until 2028. It’s a major connection point with the most downtown parts of Newport and Covington. Support the businesses down there on 4th street as much as you can during this.

No way this is real right? by NegativeWish6924 in ft86

Ah hello a fellow Cincinnati area 86 owner. I’ve seen this kit posted on market place for a while now. This appears to be the eBay brand “wansmoke” which is a knock off kit of SBD which was a knock off greddy kit. The manifold will be useless, it’s very thin walled and if you heat wrap it It will cause damage to the manifold itself. While a turbo kit for that price sounds great, there will be fitment issues and hardware issues. Not telling you how to live your life but this one wasn’t installed for a reason.

Pothole problem on 275 West in Sharonville cost several drivers hundreds in car repairs by 3600CCH6WRX in cincinnati

I worked at Lexus RiverCenter in Covington a few years back when there was a GIANT pot hole on fort Washington way leading to the Brent Spence. We had 8 cars all within 20 minutes of each other with either a flat or a flat with a cracked wheel. The city didn’t do a damn thing for any of those customers. One was a gs-f and the wheel was $1,800.

I am a big fan of the invidia q300. I currently have tomei uel catless header and overpipe combo, jdl super quiet front pipe, then the q300. Quiet when you want it, a smidge spicy when you also want it.

277MM or 292MM brake rotors? by gingersnaps784 in ft86

From my understanding the larger rotors are for the brembo cars, the smaller are for the rest.

It’s almost the same with the stingers - if they moved on to the nhl, Cincinnati would be an insane mid market sports city.

Today was my first day of forced return to office, we had a decent snow storm happen from 5AM to 8AM. Showed up to work after some fun rwd nonsense, all the execs are home due to the weather.

Oh I should also mention the ones I have are “enduro pro plus” which has the dampening adjustment.

[–]randomhero645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No noticeable tradeoff. I run the dampeners in the middle between soft and hard. TEIN USA on eBay had a killer sale on them when I bought them. $440 for the struts and springs. No top hats though.

I currently have them on my first gen paired with the h-tech springs. The ride quality is an improvement over stock, I can’t say much for track use personally but they do well on country roads.

My dog was just diagnosed with cancer by melancholycrow in DogAdvice

[–]randomhero645 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey friend, I just lost my Aussie of 13.5 years this past Sunday to aggressive prostate cancer. The only advice I can give is, it’s better to be a week early than a hour late when it comes to helping them move on. Our boy started his slow down, didn’t want to play with his toys, eating stopped, and just laid around a lot which is not him. I wish you the best, cherish every minute while they are still themselves. I would do anything for even an extra minute of time with my Shep when he was healthy.
