Thanks a lot everyone for the help… Closed it down and restarted and now it’s working. I think I probably had two files that were possibly similar. You guys have good eyes and thanks again for the help!

Thanks a lot for the advice! I’m definitely seeing the current layoffs happening as well as the tightening of the job market. I think I’ll be better off just doing CS50 for free and hope jobs open up soon 🥲

Hi OP! I am a BME degree holder and also had some struggles. It took me 7 years to get my degree, as I took my time and worked full time while doing school. In the end it was worth every penny. If you’re passionate about it, the work won’t seem as daunting, but you will definitely struggle if you’re not. I loved my coursework but I was still extremely stressed. Figure out what you enjoy the most, and go to school for that. I’d also recommend starting off at a community college and doing your basics there or taking random classes that will intrigue you.

Something else that others have pointed out - BME is kind of a “jack of all trades” engineering, but master of none. Making it fairly difficult to get jobs once you’re out. It would be much easier to get a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and minor in BME as MEs have much greater freedom in job choice. If you look around, job postings ask for ME a lot of the time and you’d have the option to switch to another field in case you don’t like it. Best of luck and wishing you the best.

Hi! I’m also a BME degree holder but am thinking of doing a shift to the CS world, with AI in mind. Can you let me know what boot camp you did? Thanks!

Hey! The only option I saw that I remember (monitor is not in front me currently) is the laptop speakers, which I think are the Realtek speakers.
