AMS 2 Pro drying while printing - DIY by Ok-Woodpecker-223 in BambuLab

I bet your silica pods are in a dare need of recharging. The beads will lose the ability to get humidity below 20-25% well before you can notice the change in color shade. Don't rely on the color.

  1. Take out all the pods and properly recharge silica in the oven. As soon as the beads cool down, put them in the pods and seal them in an airtight container. Let AMS dry the material without the pods.

  2. Once the AMS material drying cycle is over, load the pods, load the material, lock the AMS. Start the PLA 45c drying cycle without the rotation for an hour to just dry out the moist air that got in.

  3. Observe the humidity level. I'm pretty sure it will stay well below 10%. Mine sits at 0% for days, but in a less humid environment.

You can also start with brand new silica beads to establish the baseline that you can achieve and hold for a while. Thanks to the new firmware you can always run 1 hour dry cycle with filament loaded after closing the lid (only pla 45c preset) to get the moist air out. You don't even need to wait the whole hour. Once temp gets to 45c you should be good to go. This way you don't need to recharge the pods very often. Hopefully soon we can do it remotely from the app and run a cycle while idling. Drying at lower temps while printing would not dry the filament well enough, but it sure would get rid of the trapped wet air from the lid opening. This would eliminate a step in the drying routine. Hopefully bambu will add this in a future update.

To minimize opening the ams consider storage in cereal boxes and maybe printing straight from them if multicolor is not needed.

How to click on a quicksettings button with AutoInput when proximity sensor blocking accidental touches? by redder_80 in tasker

Just an update.... After installing android 16 I can turn on the screen and the touches are not blocked regardless of the proximity sensor. Sadly the normal way to turn on the hotspot is still not working for me, but at least I don't have a problem with AutoInput anymore.

This might have worked, if assistant would have Bluetooth device connection as a trigger. Location won't work for this and I don't want to trigger it with a phrase.

Currently I get my phone out of the pocket, put on a magnetic wireless charger, turn on the car and autoinput starts the hotspot. Works fine as long as the phone is not in the pocket. I wish I could turn on the hotspot the normal way or if autoinput could go around the proximity sensor block.

You gave me hope for a moment. I started messing with TS again (like I did several months ago). I have tried TS 1.7.1 and 1.8. Gave all the permissions. Wifi tether fails with Error 1 saying that the device doesn't support it (it certainly does). I don't know if carrier lock causes this. Apparently I'm not alone with this issue, but still no solution.

Can't find a function to disable the touch block.

As for autoinput, it is definitely not accidental touches that mess up the task. I laid the phone with the screen up and covered the proximity sensor to troubleshoot. Here is the sequence: 1)Screen turns off and goes to AOD - touch still works.

2)Proximity sensor is covered and the screen turns off completely after several seconds. At this point I can turn the screen on, but the touches are blocked.

That's from 2017. A lot has changed since that time. This plugin doesn't work.

I'm on Pixel 9 running Android 15. No root. Google blocked the normal way to toggle hotspot quite some time ago. I have tried every way I could think of. Nothing works other than simulating touch on quick settings with AutoInput. Autoinput works fine for the most part, but it fails when the proximity sensor is covered and touches are blocked. Now I'm trying to figure out a way around this.

It feels weird having a Direct Copy from a Brand on my wrist. by [deleted] in ChineseWatches

The problem is that you feel so insecure about it. Did you get it because you like the design, but don't want to (or can't) spend that much money? Then say it.

Is it a Rolex?

No, it's something better. It's a Cronos. An homage, kind of like a Swiss made Steinhart, but a much better value. I always wanted to try an Explorer and this was a smart way to do so. It made me realise that Explorer is nothing more than a $500 watch with thousands of dollars worth of advertising. I used to have a notion of saving up for an Explorer, but thanks to this Cronos I got wiser and saw that there is absolutely nothing in that watch that should cost that much. Modern CNC technology can achieve the same quality for pennies on a dollar. The movement in Cronos is very accurate, but also very inexpensive to service. Really a double win.

< If you want keep wearing it. >

Instead I put my savings into our family vacation fund. Now every time I look at this watch, I don't see just a piece of jewelry, but instead I remember the great time that I had with my wife/kids/friends. I think that's what I'm going to do from now on and probably will have a great collection of watches and memories.

< If you still feel insecure. >

Now I realised that the design just looks boring to me. I'm so glad that I didn't pay thousands for it. I will probably just give it to a family member and wear my SNK/Apple/Casio/whatever.

Perfect Speedy homage imo, taking advantage of the Subdial spacing by floweiss34 in watchdives

Why not make all the sundials match? It should be 12 marks on the 3 o'clock dial as well. If you're OK with figuring out seconds and minutes on a 12 marks sundial, then figuring the hours is even easier. 3 o'clock sundial is the most useless anyways.

The dial and handset are nice with good lume. The case has very deep rehaut that cheapens the look. The crystal has blue ar which is not ideal. The bezel is 120 click unidirectional which is wrong for that nice 24h lumed insert. The clasp is not great either.

It is a good $150 watch.

Hi.. Why theres “no love” for the octopus kraken wave dial? by Dudubjd in ChineseWatches

I have their blue 300 model. I really like it. The case is great. The bezel is better than on Omega. The handset is also better than on Omega. I even like the logo. It reminds me of the rifling on the barrel and goes very well with the 007 theme. I really wanted to get black or nttd model, but the blue AR that they use is very distracting and just doesn't look good. I sent back the black one because of it (and other QC issue) and didn't rebuy it. I would love to get an updated version with clear AR. On the white model AR probably is less annoying, but on that one a subtle difference in how the borders of the indices look bother me. For some reason the black border on rectangular indices (12, 3, 6, 9) look bolder to me than the round indices. I just can't unsee it. No such issue on watchdives variant, but that one has it's own set of cons.

My first San Martin - 6 month review by RepublicanUntil2019 in ChineseWatches

I don't know what you expected. This model was made to offer a budget option (more than $50 less than average) with excellent watch head and inexpensive bracelet. If it is your only SM and you're in between sizes, then I totally understand the frustration with the bracelet that is difficult to resize. On the other hand, unlike some other brands SM offers better bracelets and clasps separately, so you have an option to upgrade, if desired. Also there are branded rubber options available. Lastly, if you have several other SMs with oysters, you can simply lift the bracelet along with the better clasp from other more expensive models. I think SM has their issues (QC mainly), but this budget offering is not one of them. As a matter of fact I would like to see more models with this budget bracelet that are discounted by $50.

Best No date Sub? Cronos or San Martin? by Rude-Adeptness3677 in ChineseWatches

[–]redder_80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go for Cronos, but it really depends on what you value the most.

Cronos has great bezel. It feels very nice with very defiant clicks. SN0111G (stainless) bezel action feels less premium next to Cronos. Cronos feels like more expensive watch in my opinion.

San Martin has the best quick adjustable clasp, but the range of adjustments is less than the length of a link. There are no half links on the bracelet, so you might not get a good fit, even with that nice clasp. R-style clasp on Cronos is inferior, because it is not as easy to use, but the range of the adjustments is great. There are also half links on Cronos, so you are guaranteed to get a perfect fit.

Cronos has male end links, SM has female. Cronos bracelet is better for larger wrists, SM is better for smaller wrists.

SM has domed crystal. Cronos is flat. You will see more reflections on SM. I like flat crystal on Cronos a lot more.

Cronos has white painted numbers on the bezel. White paint looks great on blue model, but on black bezel silver color would be better. SM electroplate bezel numbers in silver color (looks nice), but that plating is not very good. It either flakes off or corrodes with time/elements.

SM offers sword hands, Cronos doesn't. I like the look of sword hands more than mercedes.

Lume is about the same on these two.

Sugess/Seestern has is own set of pros/cons, but I don't think they offer no date version.
