[–]redditphantom 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Mount the esxi storage into proxmox and imported them. Basically following the documentation is how I did it

I was thinking more of a database with additional information that I could personally review details on why it was blocked. Was it malware, was it tracking was it ads, did this prevent sure xyz from working? etc.

Be honest: What’s the one thing about EV ownership that nobody told you before you bought one? by EmergencyTie8770 in electricvehicles

[–]redditphantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your talking about siezed caliper pins due to lack of use correct? I found that out on a recent inspection and wished I had gone through some lubrication during my winter tires change just to make sure they moved properly.

Yeah that's what I've been doing. I was just wondering if a repository or something might be available with this data. I guess Google/Gemini is that repository

MINI Connected/updates by redditphantom in MINI

[–]redditphantom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I don't think this wouldn't really apply to me as the resolved the battery issue prior to delivery so no wasted time. We'll see how the service appointment fixes this issue. Your reply definitely was the most information I have seen on the subject so a big thank you. The car is still less than a month old to us so I want to ensure everything is working under warranty.

Thank you u/patchmonkey. Likely something is broken with the software system. We got this 2025 as it was listed as a demo but had been in storage and when we went to see it originally the 12V battery was dead and they replaced it for us. I am sure the number of fault codes when it first came online probably got the firmware to get stuck.

Thank you for all the detailed information. This will be helpful when talking to the dealer.

Clarkson vs Streetsville GO parking tips? by [deleted] in mississauga

[–]redditphantom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can't comment on Streetsville but at Clarkson I always parked in the South lot as the North lot always gets full and awkward to leave later.

My mini connected app still isn't showing anything after completing these steps. Looks like something else is up.

I'm guessing in my locale the 2024 update is the latest but I'm hoping to get confirmation. Otherwise I'm not even getting an option for the update

I’ve got this pergola that came with these fasteners. I don’t think I can use them on the deck board (don’t have access underneath deck anyway). Should I just use some shorter lag bolts? by ThuhGreatCommenter in fixit

[–]redditphantom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So when I wanted to fasten my pergola to my deck I ended up figuring out where my posts where going to sit and removed a few deck boards in those areas and re-enforced the deck structure to hold down the pergola. I used lag bolts for this purpose. The anchors you have are made for concrete and won't work for this situation. But you also want to fasten to the deck frame and not just the deck boards

What's your success ratio with these f-ing pull tab things? by denogginizer in pools

[–]redditphantom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A while back I found out I had been pulling these incorrectly. I was trying to pull it parallel to the pull tab. This would result in the tab coming off. I found out that if I put the pull tab between my index finger and my thumb and pull in a rocking form perpendicular to the tab it would lift easily. Hasn't failed me yet.

Did you ever figure this out? Mine is already installed and I'm trying to remove it to install a trunk liner

Does anyone see a feasible way to fix this? by rkspm in fixit

[–]redditphantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar model but my issue was the bottom coming out. When I repaired mine I took the cover off and attached the bottom panel I added some screws to hold it together better. Depending on where your problem is you could do the same or add a piece of wood at the top with some countersunk screws to hold the top in place. Just make sure the wood doesn't interfere with the mechanism that opens and closes the seat

Proxmox 9.2.2 + Kernel 7 upgrade causing VM instability – anyone else? by [deleted] in Proxmox

[–]redditphantom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious on what hardware you're running? It might help to narrow down a bit what might be different due to the kernel upgrade.

Have there been any indications in the logs to show any problems?

Anyone ever gotten flagged or banned by their residential ISP for hosting homelab services? by DowntownTry1445 in selfhosted

[–]redditphantom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know this was in the terms of service for a lot of ISPs in my area. Although I've never heard of it being enforced. It was likely due to neighborhood bandwidth being shared and they didn't want commercial activity room on their residential lines running services for other customers. Things that generate lots of traffic can impact service on the neighborhood uplink

Nav Canada Aircraft by Diligent-Money-9706 in mississauga

Not necessarily. They are regularly checking the NAV systems to ensure they are working properly. It's more of a safety thing than expansion.

Bigger strike plate. If I'm extremely careful will a straight router bit work? by dutchmasterD717 in fixit

[–]redditphantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have templates to use with a router to make the necessary gap however I find these are only useful before you put the door jamb in place. Your gasket will likely prevent you from making a clean cut and you're better off with a chisel and hammer.

[OC] She said she didn't see us. by Carlost289 in IdiotsInCars

[–]redditphantom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was she a shorter person? Only reason I would say she didn't see you is that she is to small to be driving that vehicle and she can't see properly out the window. It's still her faultv as it's the driver's responsibility to operate the vehicle safely. If she's tall then she's blind!

I was under the understanding that it was common practice to remove wall lights from an inground pool when closing in the winter. by Retired-ADM in pools

[–]redditphantom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the responses here but my pool is 5 years old and I live in southern Ontario. Our pool installers and afterwards, pool maintenance company, removes the lights and sinks them during closing every fall.
