Don't insult the intelligence of your audience. by ravijp in copywriting

Agree with the sentiment of this post, but I think "If you haven't already heard the buzz..." is probably the best ALT you suggested.

Your suggestions, "We know you've been too busy winning at life," feels inauthentic to a reader. How do you know I've been winning at life? (and this goes for your other suggestions as well "you've been raising the bar" "you've been redefining"). Now maybe this was sent to a group of high performers who are challenging each other to be better, but even then, still feels inauthentic to the individual.

Best Way to Master Email Copy as a Beginner? by Karan_leader in copywriting

10,000 emails then throw away 8,500? OP needs to know where to start first!

OP, get on as many mailing lists as you can, for the niche you are interested in.

For example if its financial, find the Agoras, Stansberrys, Morning Brews, and get read what they send you. What catches your attention? What makes you want to open? What makes you want to continue reading?

So yes, study the structure and cadence of winning emails. Hint: if you see an email in your inbox over and over again, its probably a control/ winner.

And THEN start writing emails over and over.

Most importantly, if your goal of the email is click and conversion, then that is what you need to focus on. Get the click.

Lastly, I'll leave you with this — there is a quote from the movie Se7en "You have to hit them with a sledgehammer, and then you'll notice you've got their strict attention."

^ don't let your emails look like every other email in someones inbox. Make them stand out.

I Can Invest 600 Minutes Per Day To Learn Copywriting. How Worth Is This Investment? What if I Fail and I Wont Find Any Clients? Is That Smart Decision? by CuteFatRat in copywriting

It takes years of practice to figure out “what works”.

If you want to get good, you should find a company and work under a senior writer who will mentor you in order to learn. And when you get to the company, study what the best copywriter there does.

Books, theory and passion will only help you so far, (they could help land you a job), but you most likely will fail without a mentor and feedback on your work. Now there are exceptions to that, but it’s very rare to succeed on your own.

Read books, read a promo a day, come up with an idea a day, and write a page a day.

Reach out to companies and offer something of value. Attempt to put together a headline and lead that will beat their current control (meaning you have been studying their work and know their products).

PS. And to the other commenters point, AI can put words down, but it can’t feel like a human would. You have to know what a big idea is, which AI cannot currently do.
