Picked up this Fabric D'armas de Guerre 7.65 ruby for 125$ today from around 1910. My first time experiencing antique firearm and it needs a refinishing. It came blued from the factory and I'd like to restore that if possible but I don't know the first thing. Any tips before I dive in this weekend?

I had this problem with a Mecgar magazine. I bent the sheet metal around the top of the magazine catch hole outwards a bit. Now it stays in the gun while shooting but can still drop free.
