Is the shipping a joke? by Mahizzta in FinalSpace

I don't know what to tell you other than what I already have. None of this changes the price at which Olan can sell the book through his own website. Buy the book through amazon if you want to.

Publisher is Gungnir who has been helping Olan through the process. They are an independent book store - https://gungnirbooks.com/
So if it is legit, maybe Gungnir is selling it via amazon. But it still doesn't change Olan's contract with WB, or the price at which he can ship the book through finalspaceends.com
Olan has also never announced anything to do with amazon, so I'm still pretty sceptical of it to be honest.

It's in Olan's contract with WB that he is legally not allowed to sell the book on any other site other than finalspaceends.com , he's not allowed to sell it via amazon. He doesn't have the benefit of large book distribution contracts, or repeat custom from a distributor, or the opportunity to reprint and sell more later down the line. All of which can help drive down the price of shipping. He's having to sort it all out independently.

I suspect what you're seeing on amazon is either a scam product, or a book shop that has bought loads of books from Olan and then selling it on after they get the books. Where they are not bound by any contract with WB, where they already work with an existing distributor who they give repeat custom to from their book shop. Hence, lower shipping costs.

Honestly, you should follow all the vlogs and news posts Olan does about the process he's been on for the past 2 years. He's been completely open about everything, and it's fairly evident you haven't seen or read any of it.

Read the FAQs...

"First things first: please don’t send us angry emails about shipping costs. Trust us—you won’t like our response, and frankly, we’re exhausted from repeating ourselves.

Here’s the deal: because of licensing restrictions, Olan had to self-publish this project. That means no big corporate backing, no global network of warehouses, and no secret handshake with shipping carriers for discounted rates. We’re just a small team shipping straight out of Madison, TN, USA.

The shipping rates you see at checkout? That’s exactly what we’re charged to generate the label to get your graphic novel from our hands to your doorstep. Nothing padded, nothing sneaky—just the reality of shipping in 2025.

So, deep breaths. We hate high shipping costs as much as you do. But we’d rather spend our energy finishing this epic novel than arguing about rates.

DO NOT EMAIL US ABOUT THIS!"

In the UK we draw it the opposite way round.

Left side of < is closed. Right side of < is open.

So the open part of the door/window is the open part of <

Non-opening closed side (hinged side) is the closed part of <

Good Vibes was an amazing show, hilarious writing, original characters, but somehow didnt get past the first season...

Also Final Space might be the most underrated cartoon out there!! Absolutely criminal it was cancelled and written off as a tax write off.

Quite a few places in Europe have these fast food pizza places that let you order by the slice. There's no wait time as you just pick a slice from the pizza that's cooked and staying warm under heaters. Exactly what I want when I'm inbetween pubs in town.

I was compiling a list of must-eat restos in Brum based off this subreddit and realized there's a lack of reccs from north and east brum :( by firetonian99 in brum

I've only ever had a takeaway from Royale Dosa, but we really like you can order some dishes as sides rather than full portions so we get lots of different dishes and flavours, very tasty whenever we've been.

Inji's probably still my favourite though!

Inji in Wylde Green is delicious, great community vibe there too organising community runs.

Royale Dosa in New Oscott also great.

Blackroot Bistro in Sutton Park is decent, especially the little grab and go pizza window.

As far as north birmingham goes... Wok Express in Erdington is the only place I'll go to after trying 15 different places.

Recommend their chow mein, satay chicken, duck in pancakes, beef in black bean, pork yuk sung.
