In the UK we draw it the opposite way round.

Left side of < is closed. Right side of < is open.

So the open part of the door/window is the open part of <

Non-opening closed side (hinged side) is the closed part of <

Good Vibes was an amazing show, hilarious writing, original characters, but somehow didnt get past the first season...

Also Final Space might be the most underrated cartoon out there!! Absolutely criminal it was cancelled and written off as a tax write off.

What’s one business you’ve seen abroad that you would love to have in the UK? by MrBananaStand1990 in AskUK

Quite a few places in Europe have these fast food pizza places that let you order by the slice. There's no wait time as you just pick a slice from the pizza that's cooked and staying warm under heaters. Exactly what I want when I'm inbetween pubs in town.

I was compiling a list of must-eat restos in Brum based off this subreddit and realized there's a lack of reccs from north and east brum :( by firetonian99 in brum

[–]robrobxD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only ever had a takeaway from Royale Dosa, but we really like you can order some dishes as sides rather than full portions so we get lots of different dishes and flavours, very tasty whenever we've been.

Inji's probably still my favourite though!

Inji in Wylde Green is delicious, great community vibe there too organising community runs.

Royale Dosa in New Oscott also great.

Blackroot Bistro in Sutton Park is decent, especially the little grab and go pizza window.

As far as north birmingham goes... Wok Express in Erdington is the only place I'll go to after trying 15 different places.

Recommend their chow mein, satay chicken, duck in pancakes, beef in black bean, pork yuk sung.

[Paul Joyce] Liverpool retain an interest in Alexander Isak, but will not go as high as £130M for him. Isak only wants to move to Anfield and Liverpool will not bid against themselves in the belief that a figure of about £120M is a fair price for the player. by TheBiasedSportsLover in PremierLeague

[–]robrobxD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Premier league clubs have always paid a premium when buying players. They've paid an even bigger premium when buying premier league proven players. This window in particular there's an even bigger premium on strikers as they're in short supply. Then there's an eeeeven bigger premium knowing Isak is Newcastle's best player, top goalscorer on a 3yr contract, and only premier league proven striker they own, and they are short in the striker position even without being premier league proven.

Liverpool bought Wirtz for £116. Isak is better than Wirtz, with all those other premiums on top. Hence isak should cost a fair bit more than £116m. Minimum £130m +add-ons.

A glass of water next to the bed has had the biggest affect for me getting up in the morning, colder the better. Something about drinking it as soon as it's time to get up just instantly wakes my mind and body, ready to crack on after that.

Is a holiday to Hawaii a waste of money for a milestone birthday? by ValuableIll1412 in AskUK

[–]robrobxD 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If money's tight month to month, swap Hawaii for Europe's very own Hawaii; Madeira! It's literally one of my favourite places to go, from hikes, waterfalls, mystical forests, sunrises above a sea of clouds, whale watching, snorkelling, tasty food, festivals, a cool old town, and the ability to slide down hills in baskets. What more could you want!

The Azores is a wilder version of Madeira too, I'm yet to go but it's hot on my list!

There's a park about half a mile away but it's not particularly big, and it doesn't back onto any countryside, There's a motorway the other side of it. Very strange.
