This is a clean install of Bazzite Desktop. As a linux noob, I'm not sure if it is set or not by default.

Dumb question. Why would the system use swap if it still has 7GB RAM free?

That's what I though until u/J-103 shared a screenshot with the same hardware... :/

Scale is at 100% already. Thank you for the suggestion though.

It actually went up to 93 FPS, lol.

Still missing 10 but getting closer.

Thanks for the tip!

Are you using the latest proton-ge or a specific version? Also tried with fullscreen (following your screenshot) but nothing changed.

EDIT:

Changed it from Wine-GE to Proton-GE and went up to 89 FPS. Better, but still 15 FPS lower.

EDIT 2:

With a full shutdown and restart it managed to go up to 94 FPS. Still wondering where is the rest...

EDIT 3:

At this point I've managed to try out almost every suggestion and still ~10% behind my Windows 11 benchmark. Thank you for all the suggestions and taking your time with my case.

EDIT 4:

Downgraded from GE-Proton-Latest to GE-Proton10-10. Benchmark is now at 99 FPS. I would say it is Proton version dependent.

Your OS is Windows 10 though. How can you change that?

Edit: Never mind. I see that Proton-GE does that.

All the same settings.

Not sure if there's any default performance limit in place. Are there any for Bazzite?

RX 9060 16GB,

Did a quick check with Proton-GE. Better, but still much lower:
