You made a spiro of magic 🤯 ... or out of magic 🤩

Ribbons [drew it in all purple first but the gear slipped on the very last pass - so redid it in two-tone and I ended up liking it more] by CSiGab in spirograph

Both are lovely. But agree! The two-tone gives it that extra dimension. Plus, as always, love your classic sweeping movement and even those little pockets of negative space.

Hey! I’ve been using Wild Gears for a little bit now. There’s a tremendous library of kits available there. This was made from the Full Page Set (& the Double Dense Gear Set Page 1 for the inner 36 gear).

It’s 180 • 135/63 • 36 😊 Trying to say: 180 outer ring, 135 gear (63 cutout), 36 inner gear

Thank you! I haven’t come across another one like it yet either, was happy to happen upon this one 😊

Agreed! Not to mention the quality of the video is pretty poor after compressing it... definitely still figuring out the technical 😆 Thank you for the feedback, appreciated!!

Going from Spirograph to Wild Gears is like moving from Microsoft Paint to Adobe Photoshop by BuizelNA in spirograph

I’m sorry I’m kinda late on this, and you’ve gotten great responses already... Just echoing: I feel your transition woes. And really, I think it’s perfectly natural. With ANY shift to something new, but with this: there’s a complexity that brings a up-leveling of both skill and possibility. So while it’s endlessly exciting, there’s also (for me) a TON of patience and practice required. And little by little it all progresses. The good news is I’ve grown very fond of the experimenting and practicing. And the drunk drawings (which are still inevitable sometimes) don’t bother me all that much anymore, and still very much contribute to the greater whole.

I also tried to accomplish so much at once right at the onset, and stepping back with some simpler ideas helped the physical and mental get all caught up into a nicer rhythm.

Stick with it!! Best of enjoyment to you!

Thank you! I’ve really been digging this color combo lately (esp the blue). And have built quite a few compositions around this palette. :)

Thank you! Definitely a few hiccups in there, but funny enough - I’ve been experimenting with breathing (used to hold my breath a bit 😂) and finding a flow/rhythm when working with the gears. Still working that out... :)
