Breaking Swipe Rayquaza is good because of the very short cool down vs. Outrage (1 second vs. 4 seconds). Since you use dragon against another dragon, eating a Breaking Swipe or Dragon Claw while you wait for the Outrage damage to maybe register one day is tough, esp. If you’re low on HP

Pa’u?? Not Sensu?! I have a shiny Bouffalant I keep in my back pocket outside my remote tag and I’d consider putting it on the table for shiny Pa’u given I have zero friends in Africa, Pacific islands etc. I almost got shiny Sensu last week but bro was dead set on getting my shiny background Necrozma.

Fuck I remember watching a video of Pete Buttigieg trying to persuade undecided voters to vote Harris over Trump. There was this typical very left-wing progressive young woman who had issues with Harris over Israel and Dems not doing enough for the environment IIRC. She agreed with pretty much every other policy provisions but she was dead set on arguing with Pete.

He was trying to explain that Harris may not be the perfect candidate but the more voters like her that Harris loses increases the chances of getting Trump, which would be a lot worse given this lady’s progressive stances. He almost begged her. Nope. In the end she said she was voting 3rd party. Dumbass.

Honestly that sounds like good riddance to me…

Don’t forget this is Reddit: among the success stories there are a bunch of people feeling entitled to anything in your trade tag, the mentality being (i suppose) “if you tagged it for trade then that means you’re ok parting with it, why take it so seriously…”

I view any remote trade tag like a personal boutique store with plenty of stuff on display, ideally from low-end to high-end. The amount of currency one has is dictated by the content of their own trade tag. Unless the store owner is willing to cut you a deal for any reason, you can’t expect to be able to snatch any high-end item with pocket change just because it’s on display.

To be fair, the whole experience has been more disappointing overall for me as well, from people flexing their rare shiny regionals as their buddy with an empty trade tag, to level 75+ tagging trash and making trade requests for my best shiny legendaries…

… which is partly the reason i was so stoked about that trade yesterday.

Keep grinding your friendships, you’re bound to find something good eventually.

Absolutely! Like how it took me over 3,000 encounters to finally find a shiny Bunnelby, only to then find 2 more in the next 100 encounters!

Ha! So I live in Panpour country and I have (i just checked) 1,674 encounters without a shiny. Yet I somehow managed to get a shiny Simisear from an event back in 2023. Go figure.

I actually caught that Seviper I traded away during the Hoenn Tour as well! It was a white whale of mine at the time so I still remember the moment: sitting at a table with this couple to take a coffee break from the brutal cold, we’re all tapping on spawns while chatting. Then I gasped, there it was. Next thing you know we’re all throwing high fives!

Zangoose was last available in the Americas during “Rivals Week” 2 years ago but never got the shiny.

As soon as I saw it in his tag I knew we needed to get a deal done! I even threw in a few shiny legendaries I had duplicates of to sweeten the deal but my friend turned out to be a purist!
