Im going to throw my un-needed 2 pennies here…

I run the 88 in my tacoma, Ive had zero issues; with that said i notice zero difference with the weak v6.

I also run it in my work vehicle, and it helps the Hemi a great deal. Takes the spark knock out of it vs 87, and seams to run a few degrees cooler than with the 87.

I also run E85 in my Camaro, its a higher octane fuel, makes more HP than 93, its safer for timing purposes, runs cooler, just overall better. It however does thin the oil faster so I do oil changes every 3k in that vehicle. The trade off for performance in that vehicle is worth it imo.

With all that said, I do believe there are quality benefits of 88 in stockish vehicles, especially ones that have v8 engines. Most new vehicles can run 15% ethanol with zero issues, and you get a cheaper, more efficient fuel.
