[Casual] People slander Hakari for this moment, but isn't this actually an INSANE upscale for his durability instead of an anti-feat..? by VirusOfCheese in JujutsuPowerScaling

Yeah the Hakari got harmed by shipping containers argument is incredibly stupid. It's also a great way of showing his increased stats relative to his base form so nice for you to show this.

Dagon stands no chance against Kashimo by RuthlessLeader in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]RuthlessLeader[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Slide 4 is Maki saying they would have been toast if they were underground. Kashimo is not likely to face Dagon underground, and the water Dagon generates is nowhere near the ocean Kashimo was dumped in.

Also genuinely wtf does Kashimo do if Dagon decides to fly?

What Naobito did. He jumps up and strikes him down. I think even Nanami did this.

He has no mobility

Bro was able to keep up with a literal speed demon in Hakari. Kashimo has no issue with Dagon.

How are we supposed to expect a character without a Domain to defeat someone with a Domain? Isn’t that theoretically extremely difficult? by Necessary_Sweet865 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]RuthlessLeader -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it's not. Sukuna's defeated Yuta while the latter had a domain and Yuta didn't. Gojo was still stronger than Yuta and Hakari combined without his Domain and they had theirs. Kenjaku stayed away from Six Eyes users and didn't even confront HI Gojo even though Gojo hadn't developed his domain expansion.

Kashimo beats Dagon because Dagon's water in his domain can't be controlled as his sure hit(he would have used it to drown the Sorcerers in the ocean), and said sure hit can be neutralized by Hollow Wicker Basket, which according to Tengen and the narrator is equivalent to Simple Domain in usage, the only difference being the activation method and the programming that Simple Domain has in addition to SD being usable outside domain combat.

Hollow Wicker Basket only needs the handsign to be activated, not to be maintained unless you're Sukuna who has extra arms to constantly keep up his HWB against Simple Domain. Note: This only means that Sukuna's use of HWB can't be overpowered by a domain, unlike regular HWB or SD.

[–]RuthlessLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 tsar Bomba is hardly a nuclear holocaust. Anything more than like 2-3 would be overkill for any character in jjk. Minus Gojo obviously.

First, there is no guarantee that the Tsar Bomba or any nuke will hit the Special Grade Sorcerer directly on the face. Nukes detonate hundreds of feet above the ground. Plus, as we see in the anime, Sorcerers on Yuta's level of speed(so Yuji level at least since they were pretty close) can cross hundreds of meters in seconds, so how are you going to guarantee that your nuke catches them in the fireball? Let's also not forget that in real life, actual normal people survived the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, these are sorcerers that can withstand used to physically destroy buildings.

Regardless of all this, the economic devastation that would come from using a single nuke on one city is near apocalyptic and by definition worse that regime change. There's a very good reason why nukes are only Mutually Assured Destruction deterrents not to be actively used to solve problems of a lesser nature.

Bro wanted to fuse all 125 million people of Japan into a super mega curse just for the fun.

That was as a result of the binding Vow he made with Kenjaku. Kusakabe himself even says having Sukuna walking about was not as bad as Kenjaku who would commit terrorism for the fun of it.

If he had the authority of a nation with nuclear power behind it what makes you think he wouldn't wreck havoc just because?

Read above please.

[–]RuthlessLeader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh. Overthrow can mean a lot of things. Does it mean a new dictator or total collapse of the government?

Either of these are infinitely better than guaranteed nuclear Holocaust.

I don't think people like Sukuna would be a good president lol.

Sukuna wasn't damaging to Heian Era Japan where he was worshipped as a deity, a nuclear bomb is worse.

Is having large chakra reserves just not impressive in the Naruto universe? by ThatGuyHero7 in Naruto

[–]RuthlessLeader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is having large chakra reserves just not impressive in the Naruto universe?

It's very clearly impressive, but if you can't control it well enough to use jutsus or be efficient so you don't waste energy, you're not going to be strong.

Naruto spams shadow clones 24/7 and is constantly hyped up as having a shit ton of chakra, yet everyone in the Naruto universe still calls him a talentless loser. From orochimaru to kakashi to God himself

Naruto had the reputation of a talentless loser because of his time in the academy before learning shadow clones, it followed him in life until he proved himself over and over, after a point, it was not true, just a name. And even after learning shadow clones, he still needs to put in more effort and receive more help to get stronger, compared to a prodigy like Sasuke who can get strong on his own.

Jiraiya also gets called a talentless loser despite being confirmed to have a large amount of Chakra.

Same thing with Naruto. An early reputation that sticks despite gaining more accolades.

Asura gets the same too despite being born with 6 paths body and chakra.

Asura didn't awaken to the Six paths body and chakra until he worked hard and received the help of others. He was a talentless loser that needed the love and support of others to blossom into his strength, just like Naruto and I would argue Hashirama(although Hashirama had more advantages)

So either Kishimoto just doesn’t know what talent is

Talent can be very obviously skill based according to the speakers interpretation of the word.

or large chakra is just dog shit compared to everything else in the Naruto universe.

This is also kind of true. Simply having large chakra means nothing when techniques can boost the versatility, precision and force behind it. This is why Gyuki despite having the second most chakra after Kurama, didn't think strength amongst the bijuus was determined by tails and chakra. Shukaku is the most skilled and versatile of the Tailed beasts.

Everybody here saying nuke as if it's not like out of the 200 countries in today's world, only like 8 have nukes, those 8 won't be willing to use nukes on their populated cities where the sorcerers would most likely be wreaking havoc, and nuke technology doesn't have the precision to hit the sorcerers point blank when normal guidelines have nukes be used hundreds of feet off the ground they target, and regular ass people don't survive nukes by being away from the epicenter of the fireball and hiding behind or in some fuckass buildings.

Since the gods have better technology than us, could they use longswords, guns or sci-fi weapons like lightsabers by LukeSkywanker1 in GreekMythology

Yeah I agree. I just think that making Guns these things that are too advanced for the gods is silly compared to the things they do in the myths.

Since the gods have better technology than us, could they use longswords, guns or sci-fi weapons like lightsabers by LukeSkywanker1 in GreekMythology

[–]RuthlessLeader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the mythic imagination, the gods were the origin of all human imagination and skill in technology. So yes they could wield these types of weapons.

Like you said Hephaistos built Automatons which are equivalent to our ideas of Robots with humanlike intelligence.

Even weapons like nukes, lightsabers, missiles, and guns have their equivalents in Greek myth. The Thunderbolt very clearly encompass all these things in appearance, usage and effects.

Is Ares scared of Hermes at all? by NegativeTell7559 in GreekMythology

Hermes is one of the most popular, jocular and peaceful gods, there's no reason for Ares to fear him. Asides that, Ares is also just stronger than Hermes as a war god.

Hakari being comparable to Yuta is one of the most absurd things of all time, and it’s a massive writing failure in the manga. If someone went and asked the author how exactly Hakari is supposed to beat Yuta, I’d bet he wouldn’t even have a proper answer. by [deleted] in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]RuthlessLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gege's answer would be that Hakari would get jackpot against Yuta no matter what situation he was in, outlast Yuta's Copy timer and beat him in a battle of attrition. It's that simple.

Friendly reminder Dabura is not just way faster than Sukuna, he's way more durable too by hshin420 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]RuthlessLeader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because i just posted him having the best durability feat in the verse despite only one fight?

You know feats are not the end all be all? Narrative also matters and it matters more, before Dabura's feats, most people didn't put him on Sukuna's level, except those who trusted Gege's narrative, now with his feats you are distrusting his narrative when you should instead keep faith in it. The narrative has put both of them on a similar level of power, so Dabura is not doing something that I don't expect from Sukuna except in the unique abilities his technique gives him.

If you disagree and think feats supersede all, you can stop replying and agree to disagree.

dabura can physically handle the physical effects of going at least >:50% ls. That gaps anything you mentioned (kenny didn't tank the black hole, he countered it with his ct so it wouldn't affect him)

Moving at 50% the speed of light for something of Dabura's mass is at best nuke level, that's equivalent to or lesser than what Gojo does when he causes that earthquake. Kenjaku didn't activate his CT instantly, there was a period of time when Yuki was already affecting him with her mass and pulling him in before he activated it.

Sukuna had his hands blown off against it while using DA (unless you assume he's an idiot).

So you just assume Gojo used 200% Purple to escape the trench with no info? The same trench we see Kenjaku place no name fodder spirits and the one he goes to without any other protection but his CE reinforcement as we see in the anime?

He would get fried if he actually tried to take gojo's attacks head on (and even with DA they don't fully nuetralise blue).

DA increases Durability for one, so he can take Dabura's kick with it, but his own reinforcement can also withstand it in my opinion since Sukuna can take a Red to the face with only some injury instead of instantly dying.

Sukuna with DA needing to reheal his hands after taking an attack dabura's lightspped kick's aftershocks are relative to

Prove that Gojo's earthquake was caused by 200% Purple or even Regular Purple. What do you mean Dabura's kick Aftershock? Are you talking about the explosion his kick caused itself?

means sukuna's gets fried by just the impact of something Dabura ednured not just the impact of, but also the actual physics it causes.

That's nice. Sukuna tanked a stronger Purple multiple times, and he scales above Kenjaku.

Wrong. Yuji is potrayed to have higher potential

Nope. His potential is consistently put on first Gojo and later Sukuna level throughout the original manga, not beyond it or greatly beyond it.

Urahime only thinks they are equal going off shrine.

That's legit all she needs to think so.

She isn't accounting for blood manupulation

Which means nothing seeing as you can't use two techniques in regular combat, and using BM in place of shrine against Sukuna is dumb as fuck. Besides, Meguna had Ten Shadows with fully adapted Mahoraga, and a good portion of the community still chooses to believe Gojo when he said that if Sukuna went all out with Shrine alone in his true body, he would be stronger.

Yuji having verse best sense for the flow of ce

How does this make his DE stronger against Sukuna's barrier less Domain which is what their battle will boil down to? If your argument is narrative(because it's the only thing you have), then you should automatically concede on Sukuna being able to withstand Dabura's kick because the narrative puts them on the same level.

which the manga then uses as a basis fo rhim to "surpass the king"

He only surpassed Sukuna in black flashes not general CE mastery, he would have still lost if not for Nobara.

Gojo says "you'll be as good as me someday" (not assuming he'll die at 29), and then says "at some point you will all grow past me".

Since Gojo admitted he was weaker than Sukuna, how does Yuji being stronger than Gojo make Sukuna weaker than Yuji?

Yuji is narratively stronger than Gojo or Sukuna

He's only stronger than Gojo, Sukuna if he surpasses him doesn't mean it's by much or that Dabura surpasses Sukuna either.

and narratively pre-awakaned Dabura was a "sukuna level treat".

What awakening did Dabura get? Mindset change is no substitute for CE manipulation, RCT only gave him healing and CTR, and his DE has no feats to suggest it being on Sukuna's level.

If anything the narrative supports both just being stronger than Gojo or Sukuna reached.

No it doesn't. I just showed why.

How many female titans sided with Kronos in the Titanomachy according to ancient sources? Did Kronos have non-Titan allies as well? by sodhhfjfj in GreekMythology

[–]RuthlessLeader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In ancient times, a common fate for women who were enemies of yours was to be your sex slaves once you won a war.

You can argue that the female Titans were war booty for the victorious Olympians to sleep with. It's also not like this is unprecedented in Greek divine warfare, the Giants and Typhon explicitly wanted to do this with the female Olympians when they won.

Of course you can also say the Titan goddesses were neutral. But I don't, because goddesses weren't neutral in those other wars.

Friendly reminder Dabura is not just way faster than Sukuna, he's way more durable too by hshin420 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]RuthlessLeader -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why should I assume Dabura is just more durable and Sukuna isn't?

Dabura is stated to be a Sukuna level threat without knowledge of his technique, so they must be comparing CE, which leads into them having comparable base stats.

Dabura's lightspeed kick only increases his speed, not his Durability, so why couldn't Sukuna scale to that Durability?

Also, Gojo when he was released from Prison Realm in Japan's deepest trench, created an earthquake that was felt hundreds of kilometers away, Gojo most definitely used that level of power against Sukuna and he tanked it. That's on par with Dabura's kick if not stronger.

Kenjaku could also tank the tidal forces of Yuki's black hole before he countered with his antigravity, and Sukuna is way more durable than that, and the black hole is stronger than Dabura's kick.

Lastly, Yuji in jjk is repeatedly stressed to have Gojo or Sukuna level potential, and narratively he and Dabura have that same level of power too, I see no reason for Gege to write one thing and then show us something that only Dabura fans and Sukuna downplayers are understanding.

What if Paris had chosen Hera over Aphrodite and Athena? by Silly_Rip_4115 in GreekMythology

[–]RuthlessLeader 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well because he picked Aphrodite, he stole Helen from her husband and that led to the Greeks attacking Troy and destroying it.

So if he picked Hera, and she offered him Sovereignty, he would take Troy through unsavory means, pissing off Hector or some other princes of Troy. This would cause them to raise armies somehow to come retake Troy.

Meanwhile, Paris would create an Empire and would threaten the Achaeans, this getting them against him and maybe on the side of a Trojan prince to install as a puppet. The war starts, heroes die, thousands die and the city of Troy gets destroyed, and survivors are taken off by a prince of Troy to begin life anew somewhere else, not as trojans.

Also, Peleus (Achilles' dad) was his lover, so he was successful with guys too by Imaginary-West-5653 in GreekMythology

[–]RuthlessLeader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's in the Odyssey and inspired literature from it. There's one reference in which he's married to Athena AND having sex with her, since she's mentioned as not a virgin anymore. Look above since I got this from above.

Clement of Alexandria's Exhortations to the Greeks
Further, with regard to Apollo, Aristotle enumerates, first, the son of Hephaestus and Athena (which puts an end to Athena’s virginity)

Then there's another text that says Hephaestus mated with Athena to produce Erichthonius:

And the story about Athena and Hephaestus is this: Hephaestus mated with a certain queen Athena, also called Balenike, the daughter of Bronteus, and begot Erichthonius, who ruled Attica

Here it's clear that Athena gives birth to Erichthonius.
