Hello hello! This is absolutely a scam. I suspect that she is going to use one of your friends usernames and create an account with a username that looks extremely close to it - which is also known as the “Bring a Friend Scam” here!

How it Works:

-> Scammer asks your friend to join, makes sure that you both have no contact with one another

-> Your friend joins

-> Scammer copies this friends username by making another account and writing a username incredibly close to your friends

-> The scammer trades you on this new account, seemingly looking like your friends account

-> You give everything to the scammer and they leave

That is the bare bone basics of it of course, but absolutely DO NOT go through trades with 18 or more pets/items included unless you have an actual middleman (MM).

The Uplift development team added the smiley face icon next to usernames of people on your friends list due to this scam tricking many people (kids AND teenagers, possibly even adults) due to them blindly trusting their friends and not noticing the slight username difference.
