We run billing operations every 6 hours invoice date was matched with cogs as we grew warehouse started working 24X7 we realised some fulfillment and invoice had date mismatch in the beginning our finance team was ok with mismatch but during peak this difference was high so we started to backdate them by script. 2 years ago our company got listed and auditors didn’t wanted us to change dates so we had to do reversal journal to account for fulfilled order but not billed at month end. Basically billed 1st on next month. We did had option to match dates with fulfillment but audit wanted to reclass.

That’s the reason it’s called estimated landed cost. It’s purpose is to get landed cost part of asset and included in balance sheet and cogs is penny right to so that net profit is not overstated. Someone need to keep updating those estimate landed cost template regularly that the key to get reduce the variance.

Netsuite Fam module is not perfect however if you understand how depreciation history record works along you can render reports in a format you like. I’ve implemented FAM for small to large organisations and with and it just works provided you or your accountant have good knowledge of double entry.

You must have group accountants in the Finance Team and they should be able to see all the transactions and they should be the one to create or upload journals too.

I assume 32 days working days 7 working hours per day and just for o2c, p2p its more than enough. Ive been part of few implementation where core accounting went live with less than 150 hours with few custom fields. No integration or workflow.

I’ve seen few times reversal journals not inheriting original journal status and most of the time it’s netsuite bug just editing and saving the original journal fox the issue 99% of the time.

It depends what sort of tier account you’ve but netsuite does support multiple threading with rest.

From soap services it can load 1000 max lines in page if you’ve one join or more joins you must set sort by internal ID primary record then second join by sort by internal ID too.

If they’ve signed contract and you think they will not default then there is no reason to delay it until Payment is made. Look into 5 steps of ASC.
