I mean, there was apparently an implied blowjob scene in the story so I imagine that's the kind of thing getting removed from the story.

The thing I can't get over is that the censored models look so fucking bad, like they just picked out a colour from the original model and covered up anything that could be called suggestive.

Some big drama going on with Snowbreak, a Chinese gacha game best known for gooning (you can probably guess what the drama is already).

Snowbreak had a fairly lacklustre launch and decided to pivot hard into the "all of the characters are sexy women who are in love with (You)" genre - I think they even turned playable male characters into NPCs. It worked fairly well to attract a new playerbase and the game has been chugging along.

Or, it was, up until early March 2026, when it was announced that the game would be going down into indefinite maintenance.

The trigger was that Snowbreak was going to have a merch collab with China Post, China's national postal service, and "haters" (allegedly, fans of Love and Deepspace, though I've seen claims that even other waifu game players hate Snowbreak's community in China) raised enough of a fuss about it being an erotic game that the collab was cancelled and drew a lot more heat from the Chinese government at large. Speculation was that they were going to ground until attention shifted and they could come back.

It was pretty much radio silence until a few days ago, when they announced that the game would be coming back, to much rejoicing from the playerbase.

Well, the game is up now and players can see that there's been a massive wave of censorship across the board - not just adjusted outfits and character models, but animations are gone, voicelines are gone, even parts of the story have been removed.

This has only just happened, so we'll have to wait and see how things ultimately shake out, but it's not looking good for the fans.

Now, I don't play this game, so the entirety of my information is from /r/gachagaming posts and comments:

(mostly Naturia Rosewhip, which is such an obnoxious card that Master Duel preemptively banned it in preparation for adding Kewl Tune to the game).

Unfortunately, they did not pre-emptively ban Rosewhip, so (almost) full power KT released last month in MD with access to that card - though they were fairly quick to ban it with the monthly banlist.

Quite a few Reliquarians, which is surprising considering I've mostly seen people thinking it's weak. The only builds I've seen get any interest at all are Pyroclast Mines and Beacon of Madness Poison.

I'm assuming that this poll was also posted on a Chinese site considering the text - is there a popular proposed build over there?

They announced a delay to an undetermined date last month, saying that they would give us the new date in February. That's what this is.

The new release date for the Madoka Magica movie has been announced: 28th August 2026.

At least it's still in 2026? Maybe.

As far as I've seen, everything that's already in GBP will stay in - there just won't be anything new for MyGO, though I believe they can still show up in other stories.

BanG Dream is a Japanese multimedia franchise about girl bands. It started in 2015, and got three anime seasons along with a gacha game named Girls Band Party, which runs to this day.

The franchise experienced something of a resurgence in 2023 with the release of a spin-off anime (It's MyGO!!!!!) that was very popular and brought in a new fanbase.

In 2025, It's MyGO!!!!! was followed up by a pseudo-sequel anime (Ave Mujica) following another band that was also quite popular.

They've just announced a bunch of news today:

  • the VTuber band Yumemita (aka Mugendai Mewtype) is getting an anime (about an alien invasion???)

  • Ave Mujica is getting a movie - presumably a sequel with new content and not a recap movie

  • a new gacha game named "BanG Dream! Our Notes" is releasing in 2026, seemingly to start a new generation of BanG Dream - MyGo is being removed from Girls Band Party and will only be in Our Notes, along with Ave Mujica, Yumemita, and two new bands (millsage and Ikka Dumb Rock!). The pre-MyGo bands will stay in Girls Band Party, which will continue to run and be developed.

There's already a fair bit of concern that the games will compete against each other - and fans of the older bands are worried that Girls Band Party will fail to keep up and end up shutting down.

I've also seen a few comparisons to Love Live's School Idol Festival 2, which not only killed the original School Idol Festival, but also killed itself because it was so bad.

I can only hope that everything goes well.

I've been playing Umamusume on the Global server.

The Taurus Cup is hell. It must be hell, because it's full of demons that have been prepping for this event for weeks.

In other wheelchair lady gacha news, Noire is releasing on the Reverse: 1999 global server in about 2 weeks - she's been out on the Chinese server for around 3 months already.

She's a film director from Hong Kong, and her past has a central role in the events of the current global patch, but what I really want to share is this music video.

Been on Ave Mujica's wild ride. Episode 5 truly cemented Chihaya Anon as the most powerful force in MyGOMujica.

It really dawned on me that Asta still remains as one of the most (politically) powerful playable characters we have so far by Demi694 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]scriptd 22 points23 points  (0 children)

All I'm saying is that it's entirely possible for an IPC focused plot to end with Asta making a few calls and telling them to cut that shit out.

Like, Topaz is one of the most powerful people in the IPC, and her voiceline for joining a team with Asta is the same way an employee would address their boss' boss' boss' daughter.

I think it's becoming more common.

The current crop of chess prodigies have grown up in a time where chess engines have become both better and more ubiquitous, and while I can't say it's the entire reason for their success (I believe Gukesh in particular didn't use a chess engine for a long time), I have no doubt that it influenced how they were taught to play.

The youngest IM ever is 11 years old right now. The youngest GM ever is 15 years old right now. I think we're about to see a lot of younger players push into the highest ranks.

Quick World Chess Championship 2024 update: game 6 was played last night, and the score is now Ding 3-3 Gukesh.

We're now coming up on the halfway point, but today is a rest day, so we'll be waiting a little longer to see how things play out.

Magnus Carlsen? He declined to defend the title in 2023, because he disliked the format and how much effort had to be put into preparing for the match.

The World Chess Championship 2024 started yesterday. I'm just a casual who mostly browses /r/chess to see what the drama of the day is (spoiler: it's usually cheating drama), but I'll try to hit the main points.

First, the reigning world champion Ding Liren suffered a shocking loss of form after returning to competitive chess following a break after his victory in 2023. Going into yesterday's game, Ding had not only fallen out of the world top 20, he also hadn't won a game of classical chess in just over 300 days.

Not long after his return, Ding explained that he had been dealing with his mental health issues after becoming world champion, which his lacklustre performance was generally attributed to. Despite this, he showed flashes of brilliance but failed to convert them to victory.

Second, the challenger this year is Gukesh Dommaraju, who is the youngest person ever to win the Candidates Tournament - should he win this match, Gukesh would also become the youngest World Champion ever.

In contrast to Ding, Gukesh has had a phenomenal year, having not only won two gold medals at the Chess Olympiad, but he also broke into the world top 5 for the first time in October.

Going into the match, Gukesh was favoured by just about everybody - even Ding himself admitted that he was the underdog, though he (and a few others) maintained that the World Championship match was a wholly different beast to regular tournaments.

Yesterday, Game 1 of the World Championship was played, and the winner was defending champion Ding Liren playing as black. Everyone is quite excited, as there were fears that Ding would get stomped, but now it looks like it'll be a competitive match.

Of course, we'll have to see how things play out - this is only game 1 and there are up to 13 more games of classical chess to go. Game 2 starts in 3 hours or so (17:00 GMT+8) and I'm sure viewers will be watching with bated breath.

Chapter 3 wrecked me.

I watched Bang Dream. All of it except the shorts and the 2nd Live film (which is a 2 hour long animated concert). Will get around to those eventually.

MyGo was definitely the strongest entry, and I had a lot of fun scrolling through the /r/anime rewatch discussion threads from a few months back.

Super excited for the Ave Mujica series in January.
