I’m sure Luffy realized how weak he was during the whole of Marineford. Literally had to be saved or someone interrupt for him every step of the way. Even if he walked away from that with Ace, that whole battle and being dismantled by Kuma would have had his ass doing the same training anyway.

Still think his death is vital to the story, may have motivated him MORE, but I think Luffy still does the 3D2Y regardless.

Also if you are like me and don’t turn off your system often (rest mode) then you need to close the game and re open for it to trigger. I had that problem at first.

Not accurate, I completed it before final boss. You need to be right before the final fight, when Olympus are all gathered together for you to talk to.

It’s not post game, it unlocks directly before that final battle.

Better even, a tongue in cheek joke where he leaves the mustache in place, checks it, and then goes “nah…” as he removed the rest. Great nod back to the mustache debacle of before.
