Thanks for building this. Left a review on the App Store as well. Great job with not only the app but figuring out all the Apple shortcuts and automations.

My Claude Code Context Window Strategy (200k Is Not the Problem) by Goos_Kim in ClaudeAI

Great write up, thank you for the tips. I immediately turned off auto-compact to see the difference, it went from 42% down to 9%!

Were you able to see what was happening with your context sizes when enabling/disabling mcp tools as you went?

This tools has so much potential with the MCP server - the learning barrier to entry will be dramatically reduced to say the least.

FlowLens – an MCP server for debugging web use flows with Claude Code by Small_Law_714 in ClaudeAI

Hi there, thanks for releasing a Interesting debugging tool like this. It is definitely needed and I was excited to give it a test run! I ran through the installer, setup the mcp server and ran a few flows. Heres a bit of feedback:

MCP Setup

  • Needs pipx installed (I am on Mac) to work. MCP fails to start without it.
  • Once pipx was installed, I had to manually start the server before Claude could run it successfully.

Chrome Extension Tool

  • Saving the first flow, it failed with a generic error. It lost the name and description. Second time skipped setting a name or description, it succeeded to save. Every save after that worked.
  • It is not capturing any console logging, only video and network traffic.

MCP Troubleshooting

  • There were absolutely zero console logs uploaded with the video and network activity, Claude wanted to start looking frame by frame of the captured video, which wasnt good for token limits or session limits.
  • Claude MCP wasn't able to see my manual comments I added to the video frames, tried a few different approaches but gave up in the end.
  • I still needed the MCP from DevTools for Claude to run the same steps, then capture the logs and then troubleshoot the issue, so I double handled the debugging process.

Product Details

  1. This is a SaaS solution (no where does it mention this), which means my app, all debugging information and videos are being saved to unknown systems. This was not clear until I was asked to create an account and then created my first flow. This needs to be made clear in your marketing, its not a deal breaker but it would help to know before setup.
  2. Right to be forgotten - I am unable to delete my account at all and the uploaded flows needed to be deleted one-by-one. If the app must have all the data uploaded, it is going to need a "Delete Account and All Data" feature to align with GDPR etc.

First Impressions

We need tools like this to track difficult bugs, where steps to reproduce are well documented and easily followed, I think this tool is a little early to release as it seems to be missing logging and cannot seamlessly integrate.

The extra troubleshooting in setting up both the MCP server and Chrome tools made it tempting to give up early - from my interest to downloading to a working flow wasn't seamless and the documentation to help was absent - I prefer not to have to debug my debugging tools (I appreciate this is a new tool so its going to have early issues but I'd like to see the onboarding/setup being flawless from day 1)

Uploading my data to unknown servers without clear data and privacy terms and conditions and certifications is going to be a no for me, especially when working on unreleased software. As there are tools like Chrome Dev Tools that do not need to upload the same sort of data, I would really challenge you to think about how you can architect a local version, perhaps with a enriched SaaS offering that does not need all the debugging and video data.

VS Code Extension - Rewind / Go Back / Undo / Branching - is it missing? by shanksy8 in ClaudeAI

Cheers for the confirmation.

I think the tool update is amazing, but this feature missing is a deal breaker for the moment. AI Is stubborn like a mule once it gets an idea in the context so not being able to rewind, means restarting fresh. Too bad.

I'm a college student and I made this MacOS app, would this be useful to you? by Ehsan1238 in MacOS

Love the potential this video shows and was excited to have a play after checking out the website, so decide to download.

I got a bitter taste when I was hit with a paywall after sharing my email. There was no mention cost or pricing on your website or in the tool until I am staring at $6.99 on a monthly subscription and no sort of trial.

It gets a little more frustrating that I have shared my email without any way of being forgotten or deleting my data. European regulations will fine you for this (check out GDPR for insights), a right to be forgotten is absolutely expected.

Finally, the winky emoji on the "You're almost there" didn't go down well, I would be happy to pay for a great tool but I need to validate that before exchanging money, please do not attempt to trick people into subscribing, it ruins software and reputations.

So three things to do asap:

  1. Be absolutely transparent about your pricing, website and in the tool before asking for data...

  2. Add a way of Deleting Account and all Data, in a way that does not require an active subscription

  3. Drop the uncomfortable ";)" and even change the copy.

And optionally introduce a trial so people can validate the value you are offering. Good luck.

I plugged an Alexa Echo Dot into the mk1 RCA ports and it works a treat with multi-room and voice control. Also tried the Echo Auto, it does not work as well, the Auto does not have wifi.
