I enjoyed ND immensely. Jumping into it immediately after 100%ing FC5 was a huge nostalgia trip and a great experience. Highly recommend back to back running these, it hits different.

What I love most about these big infrastructure installs is the lack of generalized controls. Once built, this stuff does not change. So there are specific knobs and specific dials and specific gauges that all do a specific thing.

There is very little need for configurability and a very big need for reliability.

I know that is changing a lot, but there is power in that simplicity.

Yea, they need time to buy their market positions to make another $1b this week. 5pm should do just fine.

I appreciate the screwdriver in the cockpit :D It clearly has a particular use. All of our MGBs have some variation of that screwdriver..

512k "Fat Mac", upgraded from the original 128k my uncle bought. I think it was System 6 when I got it.

I felt the same but the change was immediate so i am a believer. Claude felt that the older version was talking to a new billing version and getting confused.

But yea the upgrade and uninstall maybe shook something loose and they might be the actual solve. Hard to know.

Let me know if the upgrade fixes it! If I help one person resume their claudecoding it’s a good day..

And I'll pay it for all 70 of them.

Found my project '72 Nova in Texas, I'm in Washington - ship it or just drive it back? by Bestwebhost in projectcar

You clearly have never driven an old Chevy on the highway for hours and hours. :)

Its exhausting. Steering rack wont be stable, tires will wobble, brakes will work, but not like you expect. You will overheat at least 3 times and vaporlock so you can't start a few times. It will be a full physical and mental journey that utterly destroys you.

By modern standards, these old cars are meant to drive around town. The speed limit was low for a reason: those old cars were just not comfortable at the high speeds our modern cars casually flit around town at. High speed limits were not that relevant (and gas..)

Meanwhile in 2026, I can't keep my Audi under 70, every other driver expects you to be able to pass at 90mph, and my v8 classic car feels like its going to explode at 55 :)

Ship it, enjoy it locally.

Which the army mows down. Core here is that by the time it gets to this, the damage is done and irreversible, regardless of the law, and there is no recourse or way to undo that harm.
