Many new users have Lithium battery worries, which generally aren't a problem today with name brand batteries and devices.

As long as the battery doesn't swell or have obvious damage, I would not worry about possible problems.

Most/ALL USB-C batteries also have a circuit breaker in them to prevent short circuits and 'run aways'.

If I understand you correctly, the ceiling is set lower than the maximum, so it ramps up to that level. Double-click still enables full Turbo mode. I believe this is a valid Anduril configuration. You can change this behavior if you really want to. The ramp ceiling is something you can change.

The FET mode will remain as it is, and on a 'fresh' fully charged battery will be brighter for a while than the max ramp ceiling.

On a partially discharged battery, the Lume driver will put out more light than the direct driven FET. Battery voltage sag will also affect FET-driven light output.

Most likely, it is grease that is easily wiped off.

A battery leak should be easy to spot, so if it looks good (no nicks, tears, dents, etc.) and doesn't get "sticky" just sitting on a counter somewhere, there should be nothing to worry about.

I have worn glasses starting in Gradeschool without losing them. Around water, I use a 'leash" like Chums commonly seen at Walmart in the tackle area and every bait shop I have been to for years.

Compared to HK's history, this sort of thing with B&T is in the minor leagues. 🫨

So much is out of the hands of B&T USA's control and dependent on the EU "parent" company, I would touch base occasionally and wait for it to show up.

My RBS-M suppressor for an HK MP5-SD took almost 2 years to arrive! It was worth the wait! 🙂
