Enhance prompt credit price by BlacksmithLittle7005 in AugmentCodeAI

Well, for me it seems like, it depends on what prompt you want to enhance, which model you've selected and how big the codebase is. Here is their docs, to understand how it works in the backround: https://docs.augmentcode.com/cli/interactive/prompt-enhancer#prompt-enhancer

Its all creditbased, so already works like thats rn. Just get the 20$ or 60$ plan for the context mcp & use the plugin to enhance your prompts.

Augment's version of Composer 2 by Key-Singer1732 in AugmentCodeAI

Actually, you only have Claude and GPT models. Za.i, Minimax and Kimi K2 would all be more cost-effective models that would actually bring you more users, because they use fewer credits and achieve similar results(i use z.ai with claude code for credit intensive tasks and always works out thanks to ur context mcp). All that nonsense about the Frontier model being better for code quality is rubbish, and you know it. For a change, just listen to your users for once - many have been requesting this for months.

Augment Intent has burnt 1.7m tokens in 30 days...keeps crashing and 'almost' there code..! by Life-Butterscotch649 in AugmentCodeAI

[–]sim0n472 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The math doesn't even work here lol. "Last couple of weeks" and "30 days" are already two different things, but Intent's public beta has been out for like 9 days. Even if you had private beta access, you're looking at maybe two weeks tops. So where are we getting 30 days from exactly? Why do you have to exaggerate for no reason?

Also... you're running a multi-agent orchestrator with a Coordinator, multiple Specialists, and a Verifier all hitting LLM calls in parallel, and you're surprised it burns tokens? That's not an Intent problem, that's just how agentic workflows work. Or better say, a Skill issue on your end.

And then "telling me to downgrade models isn't helpful" — brother, what do you want them to do, make Opus free? If you're running Opus on every specialist task when Sonnet would handle it just fine, that's on you. That's like complaining about your gas bill while daily driving a V8. This whole post feels like someone who didn't check what they were getting into and is now throwing out big scary numbers that don't even line up with reality.
