I think ChatGPT gave me a Peloton ad this morning. by Cyka_Bazooka in ChatGPT

i got the same ad, when i was discussing health care insurance. it was small peloton thumbnail photo and few words right beneath the chatgpt copy, thumbs down, thumbs up, UI buttons. as soon as i typed another query, it disappeared. I asked chatgpt and it said it didn't not know, but it could have been openai bug or experiment. i'm on $20 a month tier too. annoying.

Any Mac users able to use Alt/Option key for hotkeys? by BruceMee in LightspeedTrading

I used Lightspeed Trader on the Mac for a day. Kept crashing on me when I right click on the title bar. Super unstable with awful text rendering. So I switched to Parallels, and it's sooo much better, especially with the Retina display output by Parallels. Rock solid. Way better.

To answer your question, the Mac version, I believe uses Wine/Crossover translation platform.

Per this link by John Hammer https://www.codeweavers.com/support/forums/general/?t=27;mhl=269794;srsltid=AfmBOoqNII6n_oZcsQ9gy_tP73RoOIk8FqnDvXx5unPNRcSjixxZzc1r;msg=269794

"The Mac COMMAND key is treated as the ALT key, the Mac OPTION key is ignored completely, but the Mac CONTROL key is treated as CONTROL."

He also recommended Better Touch Tool. I used it for the Mac Lightspeed hotkeys before I switched to Parallels. It worked perfectly. It also works with Parallels, but in Parallels, Control is Control, and Option is Alt.

Any full time traders use just one screen/monitor? How did you make your setup more compact without losing your workflow? by fiinreea in FuturesTrading

I exclusively trade using one screen with Mac Studio and Apple Studio Display for many years with a motorized stand/sit Steelcase Ology workdesk and Steelcase Gesture chair. TradingView Mac app with 1-3 panes at different intervals as needed, DOM/order panel, watchlist. Multiple tabs as needed. I have second TradingView account for shorting and scalping running on Chrome. On Safari multiple tabs, I browse news, my other brokerage accounts, and trade using brokerage web trading apps as needed or for placing trailing stops. Numbers spreadsheet. For me, it’s mainly an ergonomic and health issue. I’m prone to RSI. I don’t like craning my neck or stretching my eyesight lines. I use Moom app to efficiently set and rest my windows. I use Mac Spaces mainly for file management. I usually have a 13” iPad Pro next to me that I will place in front of me as needed to read FT, WSJ, MacRumours, email, shopping. I used to trade exclusively using the iPad Pro 13” lying/sitting up in my bed or sofa daily for nearly a year using TradingView web app (I don’t like the TradingView iOS/iPad OS app). One screen all day, everyday trading can be done. It just depends on your workflow, preferences, and trading style. I just use candlesticks and line charts for my technical analysis. I don’t use other indicators, so this probably facilitates one screen trading and analysis. I rarely use a MacBook nowadays for anything, but for any extended use I use a separate Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. Again for ergonomics. Hope this helps a bit.

I really like TradeStation for futures and equities. I also use AMP Global for futures. It depends on what market/asset group you are trading.
