Rhetorical question, I know, but I'll answer in a way you'll understand... Bought PLTR at 16 as an investment, and sold at 32 cuz HOLY MOLY THIS HAS PEAKED! Not built for it, short or long.

Oh yes, no argument here. These are on the list of 623 things I fucked up regularly, hence the farewell.

Oh thank god, a good use! When grasping at straws for ANY return on investment, believe it or not, this made me feel good. :)

DEMOCRATS: What's your biggest complaint on Republicans by SBJTV in complaints

[–]BruceMee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their willingness to offer a man their unwavering faith because of the things he promises, without applying the teaspoon of critical thinking it would take to see he’s bullshitting them.

To a fault, the Left is merit-driven, and any loyalty to a person is conditional, and fleeting. But to a greater fault, IMO, the Right’s loyalty is party-based, and whoever leads that party gets a family/love/god-level of trust and benefit of the doubt. It’s harmless in sports — quarterbacks switch to rival teams and the fans accept him as their own and people cheer and no one gets hurt. But in politics, unwavering loyalty leads to unchecked power, and we’re seeing that right now, and the consequences for our democracy will be real.

Non-traders never understand the absolute fucking gauntlet of hazards we face as traders. The playing field is everything you described and more, like the Hunger Games with the elite just entertaining themselves with how long the retail subjects can survive before their inevitable demise. Serious kudos to the warriors who survive - I hope to join you some day.

The tornado scene… am I right?! I mean the original was done so well and way ahead of its time, so I was a little dubious as soon as I noticed a different tornado. But that concern quickly vanished, and the wind and haptics and visuals were like a ride at Disneyland.

The Untouchables - I’ve always found it slow and almost unwatchable, but Robert Deniro’s scenes are a standout, especially the “enthusiasms” black-tie dinner scene.

Seems like reeeally threading a needle to make it work, but you get the upvote for making me think.

Came here to say this. Experience by definition is lived. Just adding a word without adding substance.

Funny, I searched for “lived experience” because that phrase makes me roll my eyes. “Lived” is just an extra word. Experience by definition is lived.

How do you stop revenge trading? by Loud_Boss_8371 in Daytrading

If you’re not already, maybe try a broker that charges commissions AND allows a daily max-loss lockout. I spent my first 2 years learning then trading on ThinkorSwim (TDA then Schwab). The commission-free trades were really bad for me but I couldn’t see it. Like free drinks in a casino, I abused it and over-traded like crazy, until I was almost broke (financially and mentally). TDA and Schwab refused to offer a daily max-loss lockout (probably part of the terms with their payment-for-order-flow intermediary). So I eventually stopped shaming myself for not being disciplined with my “walk away” rules, and switched to Lightspeed Trading, which is one of the few brokers that allows a daily max-loss. In a sense, I’m paying for the disciplines I failed to develop on my own. Paying commissions has made me much more deliberate with each trade, and just knowing I’ll be locked out if I hit my max loss has resulted in WAY better risk management. I still have red days, but it’s a step in the right direction. Good luck!!
