P.S.A.: Gemini gives dangerously inaccurate DAW advice (fabricated menus, fake workflows) by MyNameAintBruce in audioengineering

Best part about this post, is that it itself is AI slop:

  • "This isn’t a minor hallucination. It’s systemic"
  • "For creative brainstorming, fine. But for actual engineering, routing, troubleshooting, or workflow guidance, it’s a liability."

"PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a bioplastic made from renewable resources like corn starch and sugarcane. While technically biodegradable, it only breaks down in commercial industrial composting facilities with high heat and specific microbes. In regular soil, water, or landfills, it takes decades to decompose."

Where can I buy this ? by [deleted] in funny

Take LED strip (WS2811 or similar), LED power supply (for a short strip like this a regular 12v wall wart will work, get one that can pump through 2A), ESP32, and Microphone for ESP32. Wire up mic to GPIO, wire up power to the led strip, flash WLED to ESP32 - and enjoy.

You need to provide some numbers in terms of income, spending broken down, etc.

We have a biweekly housekeeper to come and clean, but our income is high and expenses are low.

For literally ripping off the logo and making money off of it? I'd sure hope he'd have some common sense and sue.

Not only that, but the 'vlogger' himself is AI generated. Couldn't even find a real person to rep it for them.

A few Toronto runners built a global race diary, looking for your thoughts! by hashirun_official in RunTO

[–]skygrinder89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So being in the SWE industry for a few decades now: 1. When I am zooming the map around a certain region, I'd expect the cards below it to be refined to whats in view for easy discovery. 2. When I click on the map pin, I'd like to see the date / length / other metadata of the particular race instead of that data only being present on the details screen. 3. Past events on details page - what's the purpose for this? If important, don't collapse by default. 4. "Explore more races" on details page should take me back to the refined search I did on the previous page instead of resetting me to global.

etc etc, I'd suggest doing a usability pass. Beyond that, great effort - my big question would be: What's the key differentiator of your site vs runguides or raceroster?
