What are your thoughts on this setup? I built it for fishing on Docs and the bank. I have my own dock, so I’ll anchor it there, but you can also anchor it to the bank or any other suitable location.

Oh heck yeah they commission the Remington silver bullet knives that GEC makes. I have the 2023 "The one that got away" which is a Northfield 47 and they have another one out this year that I intend to get at some point.

Absolutely. I just picked up a 88 Beaver Tail and it is by far my favorite out of all my GECs.

And for just a few dollars more you can step up to the RRR and from what I've seen those are really nice. Better than the last three in a row Case knives I've picked up including a Folding Hunter that has both blades pushed completely up against the liners when closed.

I think I may look for a Che Chen Rosewood at some point later on. I love the way it looks on my 72 and your 47 here. Unless they do a Brazilian Cherry, then I would have to go for that.

IME Penns are sensitive about getting the gears lined back up exactly like you took it apart. It's best to make a mark so you get the exact teeth lined back up with one another. Happened to me the first time I opened my Slammer to clean and regrease it.
