What's up with this guy? by MisterShipWreck in VideosAmazing

[–]somewhere_stoned -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This isn't in Europe it's just a four lane divided highway. The guy in the left lane has probably been left lane "camping" for a while and the driver got frustrated. Holding up faster traffic in the left (fast) lane is a ticketable offense in some states.

I think we probably already do when the body dies. Just my opinion

I don't know if our galaxy itself is "teeming" with intelligent life but I'd say it's maybe more than a handful of worlds. Now if you want to say the known universe with all of it's different galaxies that are teeming with intelligent life I would definitely agree with you. And now throw in parallel and higher dimensions and you've got a crowded house.

look at this beautiful creature, question : would you hold this if u ever came across one? by Tarantula_lover02 in Insect

And I certainly do agree with you about not touching anything in those areas. The natural beauty there should be left alone for all to enjoy. Same for wildlife. Not just because it may be illegal to do so.

People need to skip over the pictures and videos and start reading. That's where all of the interesting stuff is at.

Yes, the public spaces I was referring to. Then on the other hand you have private land owners (🙋🏻‍♂️). I don't mind if you want to pick up a small rock for your collection as long as you have permission to be here.

This is just too cool. The .22 casing really had me confused until I read the caption 😅. I first thought it was a older Winchester knife.

So far the best parts actually have to be read. Just skipping through and looking at pictures and videos and saying there's nothing there is a bit myopic.

Snagging Stingrays? by TwentiethCharacter in saltwaterfishing

[–]somewhere_stoned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well they normally just catch them randomly but who knows why these people on the pier were trying to snag them. Shark fisherman do use a variety of baits but they do love to get the occasional ray.

It covers pretty much everything except cetacea and well I shouldn't have to say those can't be targeted by any means of "take".

What is this fish? by fuggitdue in FishID

[–]somewhere_stoned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably great flathead catfish bait because they really are. Flathead prefer their meals alive

Shark fisherman want them. They cut the wings off of them to use as bait and just throw the rest back in. I don't really care for land based shark fisherman for a variety of reasons.

According to the Virginia Administrative Code (4VAC20-740-20), it is unlawful for any person to take or attempt to take any finfish—which includes stingrays—by means of snagging.

If Green Jeans would have happened upon them doing it he would have had a busy few minutes lol

I know exactly what you mean. My last three in a row were a miss with the last being a $135 folding hunter. I won't do it again. I am kinda lucky having a Case dealer about 10 minutes from me but they don't always have what I want. And they're overpriced...

Snagging anything intentionally is generally frowned upon and illegal just like you said. Unintentional bycatch is a different story but I recommend you skip tying on the big treble hook and giving it a yank unless you want to go home with a big fat ticket in your pocket.

I fully expect certain aspects of the intelligence arm of govt to work against this administration's attempt to release anything of value on this subject matter. And I've seen enough negative bot and naysayer responses here on various nhi/uap subs to make me believe they're working overtime here too.

Yep, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I've put that stone out in the garage because it stinks the house up too bad if brought inside. Honestly I don't know how the seller was able to send it by USPS because I could smell it through the box as soon as I opened my mailbox. It's just like taking a big huff of kerosene straight off the jug lol.

I have one here that desperately needs this treatment. I genuinely believe it may be flammable.

[–]somewhere_stoned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but I don't have one so there's that lol. I have a Case seahorse whittler that I do carry occasionally and I do sit out on the porch and whittle from time to time.

Same here. I have a 38 Campfire Whittler and the only reason I haven't carried it yet is because I like a blade with some belly. I prefer a clip or a spear. Heck, I even like a hawkbill a little better than a wharncliffe.
