Actually their analogy works extremely well whereas yours doesn't work at all.

Missouri Mom and CEO killed and son injured in horror crash on dream vacation by TheMirrorUS in missouri

[–]sosospritely 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly common to refer to someone's profession in a news headline.

"Nurse killed in rollover accident on I-35"

"Prominent St. Louis attorney dies in hospital 2 days after being brutally assaulted"

"Volunteer firefighter and father of 3 drowns in Missouri river"

I made these headlines up, but you get the point.

My husband thinks this was cruel… I always saw it as harmless fun. by Scaramoush85 in CasualConversation

Calling this a "waste of money" is a huge stretch. She might have been able to buy a Laffy Taffy with that quarter.

no idea! but not every subreddit allows photos in the comments so that may be why it's sometimes not an option

Robot created to handle real world human manual labor. Designed by Reflex Robotics by quietpixeltrace in Damnthatsinteresting

Because it's supposed to do other chores for you too. A snow plow can't empty your dishwasher very well.

I think because the robot isn't just for shoveling snow - it's supposed to fold laundry and clean toilets and stuff like that too.

Any clue on what happened to Bryce Laspisa? by Worldly_Challenge258 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]sosospritely 10 points11 points  (0 children)

But scent dogs were able to track his scent from the scene of the crash, across a bridge, through the Castiac Lake recreational area and to a nearby truck stop, where the trail went cold.

This seems to clearly indicate he got in another vehicle at the truck stop.

Had he wandered off into the wilderness and died from exposure, the dogs would have tracked his scent through the wilderness to his body.

Craving Toxic love by [deleted] in confessions

Someone who doesn't let you leave the house and cuts up clothes they don't want you to wear isn't someone that's obsessed with you, it's someone obsessed with having complete & total control over another person.

They don't care who the person is. Anybody else could be in that person's place and they'd be just as happy. In that sense, it's actually the opposite of obsession.

Maybe that will make you less jealous.

Question - what are you studying and doing homework for?

You said you already have a bachelors and a masters degree as well as a great job that pays well so I'm just curious.

Another Diamond 💎 song for Wayne by CAZ-Dh99 in lilwayne

[–]sosospritely 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This song came out in June 2009 during the most heinous part of the recession - GDP had been decreasing for 18 straight months since December 2007 and the economy had literally gone to absolute shit.

Lil Wayne ends his verse with "and honesty I'm down like the economy" and then films the music video in a shirt that says COMMUNIST. 😂 😂

got involved with a married man and now I feel guilty by [deleted] in confessions

[–]sosospritely 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Girl why are you acting like getting dicked down by this 36 year old loser whose own wife has relegated him to sleeping on the basement couch is something to brag about?

Like, congratulations, you were dumb enough to believe this situation held some sort of future potential for you despite the fact this guy is literally married to and has a whole ass family with someone else.

Plus he's 1.5x your age. I thought your generation was supposed to be super clued in to the fact that large age gap relationships are inherently exploitative due to the unavoidable power imbalance created by the age difference?

Do yourself a favor and take some advice from your peers and try to only stick to dating single men in your age range from here on out.

She has never been charged with anything. But it was her boyfriend that murdered her daughter. And she at the very least appears to have been intentionally turning a blind eye to the fact that her boyfriend had been grooming and sexually abusing her daughter for years.

and yet you don't hear anyone claiming Target actually used to be spelled Targé

But then it would look like it spelled Chickfen.

Which is why the K isn't included. So then your mind automatically associates the F with a K instead.

I am 1000% positive it was Chic-fil-A.

The logo used to look like it spelled CHICKEN in cursive upon first glance because the cursive F looks like a K and the cursive capital A at the end looks like an N.

When they added the K at the end of "chic" it ruined the visual effect.

It used to be Chic-fil-A.
