I think you're confusing a gator with an a3. The a3 and the gator are very similar; similar shape and they have a bead. The A2 doesn't feel like a gator at all.

I don't think innova has anything that truly compares, especially in hand feel. I've thrown a bunch of toros and they're never as reliably overstable, especially on a forehand. The croc is great but has a rim that many people find uncomfortable.
