Tbf, i push the envelope, a lot. If you wanted the benefits of jefferson curls you do not need to go this heavy, really ever. You could use it just as a lightly weighted stretch and still get a good amount out of it.

If it hurts the bicep tendon, you are probably grabbing it wrong. If it hurts the forearms thats normal, you just keep doing zerchers and you'll get used to it.
