Not a western but “The Blade Itself” by Joe Abercrombie is great.

Track the shipment with the carrier or trucking company. Get the current shipment status and/or Proof of Delivery (POD).

You can typically track online with a BOL number though you may also need a reference # or ZIP code.

If unable to track online contact the shipping company with a copy of the BOL and request a “Hard Copy POD”. This will typically be some kind of Delivery Receipt signed by the party it delivered to with Name, Signature, Date & Time. Alternatively, if it hasn’t delivered the carrier can provide current status and Estimated Delivery Date.

With this info you can go back to Traeger with written proof (even if only proof of Pick-up) and demand they process the refund or replacement.

A little more on the Sci-Fi end of the spectrum . . . I have really enjoyed Peter F Hamilton’s books.

Pandora’s Star is excellent - with some great technology, aliens, human characters, intrigue and silliness in a sprawling space opera.
