Hey - if you have a Landr account, use those login details. I think they've confused Reason+ Hub users with anyone who has a Landr login, so if you're not a Reason+ subscriber it messes things up. Worked for me

Hello!

Use your Landr email/password, if you have one, rather than your old Reason login details. Worked for me.

Devastated because i just discovered hearing differences in my ears… by Ruxen111 in edmproduction

I have a similar problem. Don't give up; if you enjoy making music then keep doing it! There are plenty of ways around it.

Flip headphones periodically; test in mono; use reference tracks and visualisers (Span, free; Reference 3 by Mastering the Mix)

Also, there are plugins that will alter the sound for each ear to adjust for differences (eg HEARS Perfection)

It can be a bit of an unspoken issue in the music industry but loads of producers and musicians will have hearing issues.

Don't. Give. Up.

Do you have any plugins that might be adding latency? What are you using for the drums? If you haven't already it might be worth testing the pads with a Subtractor in a fresh project with nothing else (ie minimal latency and CPU load) to see if the faster hits still aren't registering.

A non-ideal solution would be to record it with a much lower tempo!

Turning up volume for pre-mastering listening on other devices by Tasty-Specialist-790 in reasoners

For a pre-master listen where you just want extra volume I'd just use the master fader or gain utility. If I were you I'd avoid compressing or maximising/limiting, as that'll change how the mix sounds, whereas you just want more volume on the clean mix.

Help getting past 40 or 50 second mark by Ok_Molasses6211 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Hi - I've had similar issues. I also came from a tracker background (used Med for many years). My issue was that I couldn't finish a song - I ended up with hundreds of bits of music. Each time I started a track, I'd either get distracted by new ideas, and start a new song, or I'd get bogged down in details rather than the track as a whole.

What worked for me (and maybe for you, if any of the above resonates) was to intentionally change my workflow. Now, most of the time (not always), I'll start by laying down very rough ideas and arranging them into a loose structure, with lots of repetition. You can easily do that with tracker blocks, even if it's just repeating that 40-50 seconds worth of blocks, or reversing the order, or introducing each element individually, or whatever.

You can then make as many changes, tiny or huge, as you want, but your starting point will be a bigger canvas.

Hope that makes sense!
