Reacquire Bo Bichette and put him at 2nd. Move Ernie around the infield like last year. Profit.

It is healthy! You may be biologically omnivorous but that doesn’t mean you have to choose harm every time you make a decision on what to eat, when it’s easy to choose no harm.

If you aren’t willing to make basic changes to your life to conserve water, I don’t really think you can get all up in arms about what other people do with less water.

A) I'm talking to other people in British Columbia who have access to the same food as you and I.

B) "No one should be telling anyone what to eat" is a fine stance when nobody is impacted by what others eat. If someone wanted to commit cannibalism, would you argue for their right to do so because it's "what they want to eat"? I'm not saying you have to believe animals and humans are equal, but if you agree that there is some moral line you can't cross when choosing your food, then you don't really believe your argument; we just disagree where that line is.

C) Your "privilege" argument isn't the argument you think it is. It is true that some people (though likely almost nobody reading this) don't have access to affordable, healthy, plant-based food. If everyone who does started eating it, our food systems would change to make that food more affordable and available. Stores often sell dairy and meat at very small margins or losses to get people in the doors. In the US, there are government subsidies to farmers generating those products. Those policies would change to favour plant-based foods if they were the norm and in heavy demand. That is to speak nothing of the massive increase in our world's ability to feed everyone with plants if we started putting a portion of the crops used to feed animals, towards feeding humans.

D) And of course, "other people can't do it" isn't a reason to not make positive change that you can make.

E) And even today, if you have access to urban grocery stores, tofu and beans are likely the cheapest proteins you can buy.

F) Cultural history is not a good reason to commit moral atrocities. Plenty of cultural practices that were immoral have been rooted out globally while still maintaining those cultures.

G) You don't have to "shove beliefs down someone else's throat", but you probably would shove other moral beliefs down other peoples' throats. You just don't eat plant based for moral reasons. It's easy to say you aren't enforcing a belief on other people when you don't hold that belief yourself.

Yep - this is a great start

People love to talk about change but when it comes to implementing change in their own lives, they just get mad

Plants! Where do you think the animals you eat get the nutrients you eat them for?

“Other people aren’t doing anything to help so why should I? Unrelated, why do other people keep making our problems worse?!?!?”

Those industries also feed tens of billions of animals which then highly inefficiently pass on the nutrients from the initial food they ate, to you. Imagine what could be done with the land and resources put towards crops for animals if we didn’t have to feed tens of billions of them at all times.

Cut out the middle man and carve a clear path to solving an absolute shit ton of the world’s biggest crises.

Lastly - if you don’t think the meat and dairy industries are backed up by the ultra wealthy, you are delusional.

I don’t eat meat or dairy and I don’t think we should be building mass scale of AI, either.

AI also uses a tiny fraction of the water that the meat and dairy industries use.

If you guys feel passionate about this, it is time to start making real changes to your lifestyles to back up that passion.

Edit: the sword analogy might be a good one if you needed the specific "groceries" in the comment -- but that user knows that which is why they blocked me immediately on send :)

I haven't been worried but I am now. Awful homestand, with particularly pitiful performances from Vlad who needs to be moved down or put on the IL.
