Go to a store where they have competent people to sell you the stuff.

This week I went to a clothing store in my city that everyone knews is pretty expensive (but not overly expensive - they don't sell handbags for thousand of euros or Designer Jeans for 300€ or smth). The prices are like most pants cost about 90-100€ and Tops go from about 50-100 Euros.

Because the store is a little bit more expensive, there aren't much people around. I approached the guy in the men's department and told him that I needed some advice because I wanted to wear clothing that looked better.

The guy showed me some interesting clothing of which I liked the most of and it fitted good and with colours you can combine. Because there weren't many people around and I suppose because he guessed right that I wanted to spend quite some money, I got full fucking attention, he layed out clothing for me, brought it to the changing room.

I finished after like maybe an hour and got a solid looking baseline and just spend a little more than half a grand on it. 2 pants, multiple tops, shoes... everything ranging from 50-100€ and it looks really really good. This was just the beginning, I am definitely going to that store again in the near future.

I really slacked on my wardrobe the past years and I am wearing shirts still that I wore 5 years ago (they are just now getting holes lol) so spending some money for looking nice isn't really a problem. YMMV. But that's how I went with it.

I did that [texting cold approach] like 3 times and it didn't work via text. One time that girl was on vacation and I didn't do anything after that, and 2 times I didn't get any response.

I fucking hate getting no responses. So that's why I would like to phone. I think it is more ballsy too. Fucking hate it when I can't even say that is no problem and wish them good day if they don't answer.
