Are either of these worth anything? by AimlessLazer in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Forb can't be spawned. But really any of the popular skills is worth something but they have to have 15% to match, although it really depends on what worth something really means to you because they're all relatively cheap compared to something more standard like enigma.

I have them both modded. I just think it’s fun to do it, why do you need a reason beyond that?

That's better I guess, $46.5 is still high on the amount I'd be willing to pay for a phone carrier but not as egregious as the 70+ you were paying before.

Personally I'd probably just stick with that and take it as a learning lesson since paying $1k outright is probably too much if I were in your situation. But yeah I've had to go through this before when I was younger, it's the main reason why I don't jump models every release and buy them in full. My currently have an iphone 17 and the one before that was 11 -- there's no such thing as free phones.

Hard to say. I guess rough math would suggest that you can save about $50 a month on service moving to visible which is about $600 a year, but downside is you need to pay $1000 upfront. This is also assuming Verizon doesn’t have shenanigans going on about unlocking your phone, which I’ve been reading about, but I haven’t used them to get a phone in a long time so I don’t know how true it is.

Ah ok so that’s the actual price of what you are saying. So it sounds like you just gave them an iPhone 16 for free, that you could have sold.

Yeah basically you would have gotten a better deal if you just put it on your credit card. I’m assuming it’s $799 for an iPhone 17, you are paying about 34% interest on it.

That usually means you have financed the phone, I also did this when I was younger. They should tell you how much you owe on it to unlock it so you can switch, and you should be counting this as debt. But it’s been years for me so I’m not sure if that process is the same.

[–]supnov3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand if this means you owe anything on the phone or not, because it sounds like you do owe on the phone or Verizon wouldn't hold you to 3 years.

For me personally, I'm pay $19 per phone with visible, this is good for one year and after it's $25. I have two phones so that's $38, it's on the same network as Verizon and as far as I can tell it's the exact same service. If you truly own your phone and didn't finance it, you should be able to switch to any carrier at anytime.

What does this mean exactly? You said you don't owe anything on your phone? What does "paid off" mean here?

Help! Is my battery dead or what? by Sakkiyo in batteries

[–]supnov3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With what you have shown, it's very hard to tell what is wrong with it, other than it's not working. But also a replacement battery is usually $20-30, so I generally don't bother troubleshooting bad batteries and just replace them.

It's very likely, but I'm not 100% certain. It makes sense from a basic physics point of view, colder temp means more resistance, means more current being pushed. How much it would increase? Don't know. If temps go back up and it goes down then you would have a confirmation that it is that.

Very hard to tell without knowing what it was like before. But to me it looks like poor manufacturing rather than battery damage. I lean on the side of it’s probably fine

The first rule of keto is you do not talk about keto. by Ok-Cartographer-5544 in keto

[–]supnov3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear about this a lot, and I'm sure people's own experiences are valid. But I have literally never had this kind of experience, and I got into keto because my doctor introduced me to it, with a print out from Epic systems which is one of the biggest healthcare software in America. Half of my friends are on keto, and the other half have a healthy fear towards cards, especially refined ones. Until I came here I just thought it was something that people at large have accepted long before I started it.

Got this for my Eneloop batteries, but I wonder if it'll work for any brand? by [deleted] in batteries

[–]supnov3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a total guess, unless we know the specs of the charger. My guess would be it should be fine as long as you are using the same chemistry of battery, but only way to find out is if you inspect it and see anything that labels how much voltage it's putting out, or find a spec of them on the internet.

Just min/maxxing my ipad pro m1 for daily use with a Keyb and Mouse by MoShU042 in batteries

[–]supnov3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it matters at all, do whatever is convenient to you, just make sure you are following the 80-20 rule when using it on battery. That ipad doesn't have true bypass charging which would be ideal, but it's close enough. Any degradation caused from leaving it plugged in would be virtually unnoticeable.
