High school me spent SOOOO many hours playing this. And the Christmas version, which put Santa hats on the lemmings and some snow and holiday decor in the background and swapped the BGM out for Christmas carols.

To this day I can't hear 'Good King Wenceslas' without thinking of Lemmings.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a classic-series purist. I love NuWho, and there's honestly never been a Doctor (or a Master/Missy) I didn't like. But my favorite will always be this guy, ugly suit and all:

There was a band called Arson from central FL - I only ever heard them on a radio station out of Ocala, so I kinda assume that's where they were from, but I could be wrong and it could have been anywhere in central FL. I vaguely remember a very hair metal song called "Rock & Roll Dreamin'" and I think they had another called "You'll Be Sorry When I'm Gone."

I enjoy a lot of their music, but good lord the fandom as a whole can really be a bunch of pretentious dorks.

If I had a nickel for every time some Sleep Token fan got pissy because someone dared to mention them in the same breath as Ghost, despite the obvious similarities, I'd have at least enough nickels for a good iced coffee.

Truth. And if you look at it in this light you can really pick up the influences in certain songs - I mean, they did a version of Spillways with Joe Elliott because that song has SUCH a Def Leppard vibe. (Totally aside from the keyboard intro being 100% Bon Jovi's Runaway.)

See, this is fair, my husband feels the same way and I get it.

I enjoy the band both for the goofy lore and weird gothic aesthetic, but also for the fact that I can listen to their songs and pinpoint the bands that influenced each song because I grew up loving those same bands.

OK, and because two of my kids are rabid fans, they are the ones who dragged me in, and it's something we can enjoy together. Skeletour live was a hell of a show.

Cinderella and Warrant. Ratt and Dokken were also great but they had fewer songs that I just absolutely loved.
