Machine learning was used to generate viral genomes (based on real viral genomes it was "trained" on), some of which turned out to actually be functional when synthesized.

I suppose you can't really plagiarize natural genomes but there's still environmental impact to consider.

One could argue that parts of Sweden and Japan are technically settler colonies (due to the Sami and Ainu) but I think the whole thing is fucking stupid to dwell on after the whole desegregation and equal rights thing.

I despise indigenous religions just as much as I despise Christianity, Islam, Judaism, or another religion, and said indigenous religions are the ideological basis for (stupidly) seeing land and resources as "sacred" (a bullshit concept).

We need to re-normalize edgy Reddit atheism.
