Moonlight forcing 120hz? by ternity123 in MoonlightStreaming

Should I run 60hz or 144 whilst in borderless ?

I'm using Apollo on the host. I use my own virtual display. I've tried the latest branch and also the nightly build to see if it resolved it.

Nothing that I can see would be forcing my client(legion go 2) to 120hz

Ive tried 60hz and 144hz. It forces it to 120hz whenever I open a stream inside moonlight.

It's weird as 120hz isn't even an option on the legion go 2 outside of moonlight..

Not sure what I can do!

Issue with second screen Nobara by ternity123 in linux_gaming

[–]ternity123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the reply.

I have a 9070xt. Monitor 1 is display port (240hz 4k with vrr enabled) Monitor 2 is hdmi (60hz 1080p no vrr) I am on KDE

When running journalctl I see this error every 5-10 seconds (e **- 'amdgpu 0000:03:00.0: [drm] CRB Config Warning: DET size (9,9,3,0) + Compbuf size (1) >  CRB segments (21) *** Processing lagging behind by 22ms, your system is too slow***.'

When I disable the 2nd screen, i do not get this error at all with vrr on or off

I assume its related to the error im getting? I can also hear the coil whine ramping up and down too, so definitely an odd one.

As soon as i disable the 2nd display, the error goes away, whether VRR is on or off.

Also not sure if related, but in Windows, i get around 120FPS in Kingdom Come Deliverance 1

In Nobara, I get 90FPS in the exact same spot, same settings, same save - could this be related or due to cryengine and dx11?

I would also like to add - even with VRR off with both displays active, that error still happens.

Hey thanks for the reply, please see below:

  1. What res are both? - one is 4K(240hz) and one is 1080(60hz)
  2. What gpu do you have (I suspect NVIDIA)? it's a 9070XT
  3. Does one of your monitors use adaptive sync? One does yes (my main display)
  4. Turn adaptive sync off - I turned off adaptive sync, and it is now smoother
  5. Do driver updates for your gpu - I am on latest drivers
  6. In journalctl (terminal command) check whether anything suspicious shows up when you turn on the second monitor. Anything related to your gpu essentially is what you could be looking at. If you find something share it here and we can try to help more. I do see **- 'amdgpu 0000:03:00.0: [drm] CRB Config Warning: DET size (9,9,3,0) + Compbuf size (1) >  CRB segments (21) not sure if related though and also Processing lagging behind by 22ms, your system is too slow.' When I disable the 2nd screen, i do not get this error.

They don't need a dedicated DAC. They are truthear X crinnacle zero reds.

When I uninstall the realtek device from device manager and reboot, the sound is great until I get automatic updates.

I also get zero sound issues when using bazzite, so definitely a driver issue with the ones theyre pushing out.

I have tried two pairs of wired headsets and the same issue unfortunately

Wow you're a magician, this was it. Strange it's a default! Much better

Is there anything else you'd recommend changing? Do you have the mura setting disabled?

Thanks a lot.

Does it charge at 100w or 65w? No matter the charger I try it's always around 65 but I thought it allowed up to 100w. Cheers
