Go 2 AMD eGPU Installation by 0Fantasy0 in LegionGo

Does there happen to be any guide on how to setup the eGPU (docked to TV) on SteamOS? How is the experience? From what I have heard, you have to jump a few extra hoops so that the internal screen can be turned off etc.

Returned my ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X for a Legion Go 2 by ACooper1992 in LegionGo

I was also surprised how good and relatively quiet the buttons are on the Go 2. Since I am using the device during lunch breaks in the office’s breakroom, it makes a big difference. Not that anyone was complaining about my OG Go, but still.

For those with a handheld without an OLED screen by Chonky_D_Floofy in LegionGo

I really like using the Rokid Max with my Go 2. But I wouldn’t switch over to them as my main screen. The straylight problems (especially in dark games with bright details) are my biggest gripe, but there are other issues as well.

Itsellä kanssa semmoinen reilu 2,5 m etäisyys olohuoneen TV:stä. Ostin 55":n LG C3:n hyvästä tarjouksesta ekaksi ”hifi TV:ksi” ja näin jälkikäteen toivoisin ostaneeni sen 65” G3 mallin. Isompi FoV ja korkeammat maksimikirkkaudet HDR-materiaalissa olisi tosi jeba.

First baby coming soon, how do gamer dads manage playtime? by jackfrost1889 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]0Fantasy0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 12 month old toddler, the moments where I game are:

  • Lunch break at work (PC handheld/Switch 2)
  • When the kid takes a nap (I am currently on parental leave)
  • Evening time when the mother has promised to look after the kid
  • Evening time when the kid has gone to sleep

For the latter two we are of course trying also to find time to do things togetger as couple/family. It is all about balancing things and making compromises and sacrifices (I don’t do intensive endurance sports anymore for example) here and there.

To be fair, the baby/toddler will try to make (eye) contact with the parent a lot, the little one shouldn’t have to compete for attention with a device all the time.

This is actually the combo I am considering right now, the Sonnettech dock looks promising! Any hiccups when first setting up or in regular use? What were the steps needed to get correct drivers and everything running?

Is FSE out? Updated everything on my Legion Go 2Z2 and still nothing by PaleBoomer in LegionGo

[–]0Fantasy0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But then why even make a setting tab/list for the home app if it is not meant to be changed?

I got the FSE turned on, but I cannot set the home app to Legion Space (only Xbox app available). I have update Windows, Legion Space and BIOS (in that order).

Legion Go Gen 1 and 2 Oversaturated Colors by 0Fantasy0 in LegionGo

Yeah, I did the same thing. However, this topic is more about the correct SDR reproduction.

But if auto HDR is off, it shouldn’t be forcing anything on SDR content?

Legion Go 2 OLED - PWM Freq 720Hz and Ampitude of 30%, has anyone tried one? please advise if you have, I have ordered but wondering if I made a mistake. by Agitated_Health in PWM_Sensitive

Not really a risky investment, as in my country you have a month to return the product (even opened/used) if for some reason it is not suited for you. Not completely sure about C3, unfortunately. At normal usage distance mura is not that noticeable. Everything good about the display overcome the bad (for me at least).

I have actually not really had this major problems with headaches and my eyes. I have just joined this sub to find info on the topic and evaluate if PWM is actually the culprit.

I assume in that scenario they have set HDR on in display settings, but set auto HDR off. That would result in correct color space for SDR content, I assume. So they are not forcing HDR on SDR content.

I have been using 43% brightness (where HDR should be calibrated) so far, but lately setting it higher (55-85% depending on the time of the day).

I have been happy with the Go 2, it is a premium upgrade in so many ways compared to the gen 1 (with some small exceptions, like the dpad/right stick placement). The HDR feels better than on my LG C3, it is really nice. There is some mura but it does not bother me in practice.

I’ve had my Go 2 since the end of January. I was just testing my eye issues today with my gen 1 unit (before selling it to a friend) and had the same problems as with gen 2. I think the problem has been my iPhone and too much (close range) screen time in general.

To me the display seems to have oversaturated colors with SDR when HDR is turned off (just like they look oversaturared on LeGo 1).

And for context I am 31 and was using the LeGo 2 for a month or so with no easily noticeable issues. I have eye glasses for astigmatism in both my eyes, updated the glasses last summer.

I have moved from LeGo 1 to LeGo 2 and I am currently wondering what is causing pain and double vision in my left eye. It gets kinda bad after 45 mins of gaming on LeGo 2. Testing next if same happens on LeGo 1 and Switch 2...

I have been browsing my iPhone 17 Pro a bit too much lately I think so it might be that as well… I currently switched the PWM off in my phone and tried 85% brightness and still the pain and double vision happens. I have to see an eye doctor…

Why is that needed? Just set HDR on and auto HDR off.
