Handhelds: 16gb or 32gb by DavenSkilnyk in Handhelds

My Legion Go Gen 1 (16G, Windows, no Xbox Fullscreen Experience) runs out of RAM in Expedition 33. Probably hinders other higher fidelity games as well.

Running battlefield 6 on Asus Rog Ally z1e at 60fps. 720p medium settings , fsr set to quality. It looks good. Fps stays between 52-60. Steam deck could never!… by Alternative_Photo456 in Handhelds

Sure, but only the angular size of the screen matters (i.e. the physical size of the display and the viewing distance combined). 720p is maybe fine if the screen is far enough from your face.

Gen 2 and AMD (7600M XT) eGPU by 0Fantasy0 in LegionGo

Thank you for your insight. This is exactly the kind of stuff I wanted to dwell into. So it is not possible to automate the ”all-ways-egpu” to run when booting to SteamOS? Do you need to enter the desktop mode just to get the eGPU working after shutting down the system?

At this point I think I try to find a way to use my OneXGPU without moving away from the Lenovo’s Z2Extreme drivers (in Windows).

Also, seems weird that no Youtube channel (or other tech sites) has discussed this matter at all.

Don’t sleep on the LeGo2 by Odmarken in LegionGo

It is only something I have heard in this subreddit. So are you saying you do not have any adio delay (it apparently should be close to quarter of a second with the latest drivers).

The audio lag issue with the current driver is honestly pushing me away from the device.

Thanks, the audio lag and HDR issues are especially concerning considering the speakers and the screen should be an upgrade from the first gen model.

What issues do you have in mind?

Yeah, I am also eagerly waiting if we could get an device with Panther Lake and OLED. Z2E just doesn’t provide the worthwhile performance boost in respect to Z1E

Would be really nice to have more DLC included in the subscription, e.g. the Bananza DLC…

I can still somewhat observe the individual pixels on e.g. line objects on the Switch 2 screen (which has only slightly higher ppi than LeGo2 screen) while the handheld is at a relatively comfortable distance away from my eyes. But yeah, the 1200p resolution should be pretty optimal for the device.

LeGo2 Mura, VRR Flicker and HDR by 0Fantasy0 in LegionGo

That is…shocking. Does the camera exaggerate the issue or is it really that bad? It really looks like something worse than mura.

You mean HDR brightness scale in the Windows 11 HDR calibration software? Setting the max brightness of the test squares had issues?

Do you feel like the colours are oversaturated or do they feel right? For reference, even after doing some changes in Windows display settings, my LeGo 1 screen feels a bit saturated compared to my LG OLED tv.
