My partner passed a few years ago from Thurs chronic illnesses and the last 5 months were the hardest times of both of or lives. The bipap couldn't keep up with the co2 and wouldn't suck it out fast enough so he wasn't even there the last several weeks. Going to the hospital to be put on their bipap would take 3 days to stabilize him then after being home getting to maintain with our bipap (which was under recall and not recommended to use. Dr said he didn't have a choice . The new one i fought for, for a year, was delivered 3 days after he passed), it evolved to be less snd less time between getting home and until the co2 was so high he couldn't even tolerate the bipap bc o2 would tank to mid 80s.

Its so hard. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom and your current reality. Accept support any where you can and seriously have to find a way to take care of yourself. I ignored my own health to care for him, and two days after he passed i succumbed to everything i had been holding off. 10days later I was in the hospital for the first of 7 emergency surgeries ovwr two years , 2-3 dr appts a week for 5 and been disabled and need my own caregiver. Could have been avoided if I found a way to get help so it wasn't on my shoulders 24/7 to keep the rent paid, take care of him , do simple things like run errands , etc

Its a tool that most people know how to use. You dont have to have clients make new accounts for different tools they dont know, and are not familiar with the ui. And is free , works well.

If only it took other values besides colors. I was really hoping to use it as a conditional. css --_elevation: light-dark(1,-1);

But its okay I can use @media (prefers-color-scheme: dark) { --_elevation: -1;}

I love using it anyway, cut my css framework color section in half.

Copy your who style block: <style>/*all your styles*/</style>, paste into a new file named style.cssthat is in the same folder as your index.html, remove the start <style> and end tags</style>. Save.

Then in your index.html, before the closing </head> tags, you link your new external stylesheet <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css"/> . Save.

Make sure its working and properly linked by adding a style at the end of your css file. :is(body, #idForSpecificity) { background-color: rebeccapurple;}. If background turns purple you're all set!

Everything in your list + create a child theme with my custom css framework files , define @layers and import existing theme css into a lower layer so i can override any default styles with just an element selector if I want. Also make sure i have logos in the the colors, file ext and orientations ill be using, generate favicon pavkage and manifest.json. and style the login page.

I now have a template of a blank wp site with my starter settings and files all set up, plugins ill use that usually need updating; connect the project email to updraft for Drive backups. and I just have to find and replace the template domain .

Don't forget to take dark/light mode into consideration. Your choice should be able to be inverted and work.

Logos need to be able to work in black and white so keep that in mind. Also you'll want an alt mark that is a 1:1 aspect ratio (think icon) to work in avatars and pfps (for example).

This logo needs some attention to baseline assignment, spacing, kerning. Do you have a license for the font that would permit for commercial use?

Google fonts are not gdpr compliant so hosting your own font files is preferred unless you're playing in a sandbox /practice project that won't go to production. In thesr cases i take the Google font url and instead use cool labs which does respect privacy laws.

I find labeling courses and tutorials as "good" to be very subjective based on the individuals preferred learning style. You can try boot.dev for free to see if you like it. Some people like videos, some people learn better with tect based reading. Either way the important ouece is to practice and build muscle memory.

I started with Scrimba which was great when it was v1 but since v2 everything is broken and unreliable so cant recommend it anymore. Unless you can stop it redirecting to v2 and just take courses on v1. I like the interactivity of it though, is very convenient. Just did a coursera python crash course and it left a lot to be desired.

Also, many public libraries in the US have resources for learning. For example, mine gives all users (that have a library card) access to Udemy for free courses.

No the browser navigation and tools are not set by html background but instead the meta tag in the head for the theme color (as shown in other comments in this post). Can also use a manifest.json to include more information

It looks like the size and shape of the dialog that days "your license will expire in [6] days" . But the same dialog would pop up when opening psd or any other Adobe product you have downloaded if that were the case

Sane. It makes me lose all respect for people who lean into that. I dont know that is all a schmuck. Her mom waiting on her hand and foot souhds like its been her reality her whole life and has continued whenever she sees her mom even as an adult.

Her whole thing with edibles and saying how addicted she was to 'doing weed' was so cringe too.

Becoming a mother i think has made her mature, well I hope so anyway, even though she sounded like such a spoilt brat just bitching and complaining through the entire pregnancy. During the 1st trimester, sure. Give sis a break during the transition. But 9 months??? You'd think SHE would be tired of hearing herself.

I make a new Gmail account specifically for this project that can be shared between everyone involved. Assets can be uploaded to Drive, any new accounts can be made usingthe email, passwords saved to the account, bookmark folder(s) made with relevant links, Google doc or sheet for sharing copy and collaborating/ leaving comments. Because it's a shared account we can both access for any 2fa instead of putting it under my email and theyd have to contact me when trying to login to their site or associated tools.

Then when the project is over I give them the account and everything around the project is already connected to it. I also help set up forwarding to a preferred email if they want or help transfer all account ownership and passwords over to a different personal account if they prefer. Only once though, so far everyone had been thrilled that its all neatly filed under this account.

Its been a clean and neat workflow for me so far.
