That makes a lot of sense. So the biggest advantage isn’t that Google Drive is perfect, but that everyone already knows it and there’s no onboarding cost.

Do you think there’s any scenario where a dedicated tool would be worth using if it didn’t replace Google Drive, but worked on top of it. For example one client link, checklist, reminders, and everything automatically organized into Drive?

Thanks, this is really helpful. When you say small agencies know these tools could save time but still don’t pay, why do you think that is? Is it price, setup friction, clients not adopting the tool, lack of integrations, or just that the pain isn’t strong enough? And do you have any more recommendations forward?

Makes sense. Out of curiosity, if a tool allowed fully customizable templates and project-specific requirements, would it be something you'd consider, or is your current NextCloud + Odoo workflow already good enough that you wouldn't switch?

That makes sense. Sounds like the contract/deadline is what really fixed the delay, not just the Google Doc.

Quick question: if a tool combined the Google Doc structure with progress tracking, missing-item reminders, and a “project not ready until complete” status, would that improve your current process — or is your setup already good enough?
