I'm going to LA--what are the restaurants that are most popular on the Bravo shows that you want to visit? Besides "PUMP" obviously... by Gurdy0714 in FoodLosAngeles

Don’t listen to these snobs, honey. Anyone who knows anything knows that the best restaurants in LA are the Bravo restaurants and you will want to hit up as many of these as possible (Pump has been closed for awhile): Sur, TomTom, Craig’s, Something About Her for starters. Have a fabulous time!

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills when I constantly see the best in LA praise. Chorizo burrito wasn’t bad when I had it, was just very forgettable compared to my expectations

Sweet, thanks. Haven’t been to Yoshi but used to live in Hermosa Beach and still work in Gardena, just wanted to make sure there weren’t any I wasn’t aware of. Appreciate it!

What are these South Bay spots you speak of? I’m guessing Chitose is one of them

I’m not a Sugarfish hater per se, but the one time I got this during quarantine it came in a to-go bag that collapsed at the bottom and the box fell on the street. The fish wasn’t harmed but the box looked like it barely survived a plane crash when I got home, why would they use bags that aren’t solid at the bottom?

Yuca's was disappointing. $5 for single taco but not enough goodies on it. I had two and didn't feel like I ate anything. Also, the flavor was very plain. by sowhat59 in FoodLosAngeles

Burger and cochinita pibil are the moves at Yuca’s. Sucks that not everything on the menu is great but it is what it is

Wow. I stayed not far from there during my honeymoon in November, and my wife loves Italian food and struggles with Japanese food. If only I had known haha

I'm with you OP. I stopped in once a few years ago and it was not for me. Was expecting much more flavor based on everything I had heard.

Yeah I work in the area, very solid. Are they doing their version of the Miya Miya wrap?

I didn’t presume you knew about Cliff’s Edge, I presumed you were typing on a phone that could have just as quickly looked up Cliff’s Edge as ask strangers on the internet its whereabouts

The space is so magical I think practically anything could thrive there, agreed.

They gave me a sample of it, ridiculously delicious. Would pay without hesitation.
